Corporate just wanted me to let you know that the free demo build has been updated. We're also going to post our patch notes here (rather than on the Discord) from now on. Here's everything we changed since the demo launched, in case you haven't played since then...:

Mechanics

  • Threat assessment display now shows progress instead of flashing until complete

  • You can now see if other ships have enabled their fire control. Unlike the other stages, it can be enabled or disabled instantly.

  • Gerald has been added to the tutorial! Those of you who've met us at conventions might remember meeting him!

  • Levels have been adjusted to require more use of vessel ID

  • Forward camera is now a higher resolution

  • You can now tell Harriet you blew up a ship because it was 'suspicious'

  • New scene for Ms Jones (she won the employee of the month poll)

  • Reduced trackball sensitivity

Visuals

  • Minor improvements to Galco Communique fax template

  • Cinematic for arriving on PALE-HORSE

  • Multiple 'advert' faxes have been added to flesh out the factions in the world of ConPro

  • Fred's note now actually appears on your desk

  • Transition screens now show how many days you've been aboard

  • Updated Vialeen Astrospace S555-X to be more visually distinct

UI

  • Added an 'X' to some overlays to make it clear you can close them

  • Vessel ID has been adjusted to be easier to find at a glance

  • Intel book tabs now have colour coding

  • MalGuard only activates when a virus can be caught

Misc

  • Game credits updated with missing attributions

Bug Fixes

  • Downtime music now loops correctly

  • NPC soundscapes no longer end early

  • You can no longer crash your antivirus software

  • Rox-E no longer stops working if you cut her off early

  • Quitting and re-loading no longer breaks paperwork

  • MalGuard no longer breaks after opening the menu

  • Too many to list...

Known Issues

  • This update may trigger conversations you've already completed in existing save files. Sorry about that! We had to make a necessary change to save file format for localisation.
