Release Notes (Navigation & Quality of Life)

A cleaner way to get around the game, less popup noise, and a batch of fixes for things that were getting in the way.

New navigation layout

The sidebar has been rebuilt so it scales better as your empire grows.

What you'll see

  • Left rail: workspace icons (Home, Studio, Politics, Tech, and so on)

  • Screen panel: the list of screens inside whichever workspace you picked

  • Politics uses the panel for its own sub-views (News, Map, Parliament, and the rest) instead of cramming everything into one flat list

Getting around

GoalHow
Switch workspaceClick an icon on the left rail
Open a screenClick it in the screen panel (middle column)
Jump anywhere fastCtrl+K (or / when the panel is open)
Collapse the panel] or the collapse control on the rail

My View (personal shortcuts)

You can pin your favourite screens into their own workspace.

Set it up

  1. Click the pencil at the bottom of the left workspace rail

  2. Open the My View tab

  3. Tick the screens you want

  4. Drag the handle (six dots) or use the arrows to reorder

  5. Click Save layout

Use it

  • A bookmark icon appears on the left rail when My View has at least one shortcut

  • Click it to see only the screens you picked

Workspaces tab (same modal)

  1. Pencil on the left rail → Workspaces tab

  2. Drag to reorder workspace icons, or uncheck to hide a whole workspace

  3. Save layout

Optional: tick Show all workspaces & screens if you want everything visible regardless of unlock progress (good for sandboxing or late saves).

Who's Who from the phone

On Pulse and your social network feeds, you can hover a poster's name or handle to see a quick dossier (role, employer, relationship). Click Open full profile for the full Who's Who entry.

Path: Founder phone → Pulse or Social Network → hover a post → profile card → full dossier

Who's Who is also on the People screen under the phone dock when you want the full directory.

Platform deals: no more surprise popups

When a platform holder wants a featured slot, subscription deal, or exclusivity, it won't hijack the screen anymore.

Where deals live now

  • Studio → Studio Decisions (or open Studio Decisions from the status bar alert)

  • Each offer is a card: Accept, Counter-offer, or Refuse

More time to decide

  • New offers last 12 weeks (was 4)

  • Counter-offers and bidding-war rounds give you more breathing room too

Paths

  • Status bar Platform deal alert → Studio Decisions

  • Weekly Brief mention → Open Studio Decisions

  • Industry screen still shows deal context per platform if you want the hardware angle

Studio Decisions inbox (cross-tab decisions)

Several decisions that used to interrupt you in random tabs now sit in one place:

Studio → Studio Decisions

Includes things like console war events, property maintenance, salvage offers, internal politics, leadership departures, and platform deals (new this release).

The dashboard may still mention pending items; the place to resolve them is Studio Decisions.
