Hi everyone,

CODEX MORTIS is in Early Access. Your feedback shapes the game directly. If something is not working for you, please share it on the Steam forums or our Discord - it helps far more than a negative review and we read and respond to everything.

Survivor Mode - All 8 Maps Now Available

Survivor Mode is now fully expanded across all 8 maps. Each map brings its own set of bosses, mechanics, and challenges. To complete a Survivor run you must survive for 15 minutes.

North Pole

Four new bosses join the roster in this frozen world: Sweetrot, Steamhoof, Frostbane, and Everscream.

Soul Nexus

Face Cradle of Echoes, Judge Eidolon, Nexus Seraph, and Revenant Architect in the depths of the Soul Nexus.

Cursed Catacombs

A grid-based arena with fog of war mechanics. Five spectral bosses await you in the darkness.

Bone Cathedral

Satellite bosses mounted on rotating gears - positioning and timing are everything here.

Void Sanctum

The Echo of the First Necromancer appears at 10% HP - a final test before you can claim victory.

Throne Room

Chaos Mode is active in the Throne Room. Six biomes rotate every 30 seconds, constantly changing the conditions of the fight.

Survivor Mode Improvements

Alongside the new maps we have made several improvements to Survivor Mode as a whole:

  • Enemy Teleportation - Enemies that fall too far behind will now teleport closer to keep the pressure on.

  • Boss Scaling - Boss difficulty now scales properly with the number of players.

  • Boss Identity Preserved - When a boss transitions between phases its identity is now correctly maintained.

  • Progression Carries Over - Experience and item progression from earlier waves now carries into later stages.

  • Completion Rule - Surviving for 15 minutes counts as a successful run completion.

Sand Tomb (2-1) - Balance Update

We have made a number of targeted balance changes to Sand Tomb to improve readability and fairness.

  • Sandworms - Maximum of 3 active at once. Minimum 5 seconds between spawns. Telegraph scales with the actual impact area. Sleeping Guardians are no longer valid targets.

  • Guardians - Attack queue introduced to prevent overlapping hits. Gap between attacks is now 2 to 3.5 seconds.

  • Mummy - Now uses 6 distinct zones. Impact radius reduced to 200. Telegraph duration is 1.5 seconds.

  • Roc - Interval between attacks tripled. Impact radius reduced to 120. Telegraph duration is 0.8 seconds.

  • Colossus - Charge speed set to 800 pixels per second.

Thank you for playing CODEX MORTIS. More updates are on the way.
