addedNew Opening & More SecretsReturning demo players will not recognize the opening scene for the demo, as we have inserted an entirely new section to better orient players and introduce Iris to the island! Not only that, there are new treasures and new rooms to discover in the rest of the demo.
addedSave Slot & CheckpointsPlayers can now choose to respawn upon death (for a limited number of lives). If they run out, they return to their last checkpoint. Lives are restored when using checkpoints.
addedSave Slot & CheckpointsClockwork Ambrosia also makes use of a new save slot system.
changedNew Weapons Interface & Weapon Loadouts!The equipment and weapon screens have received an overhaul to make them more intuitive and quicker to use. Let us know what you think!

Note: Old demo saves are not compatible with this update. You will need to restart your playthrough.

Major Changes

New Opening & More Secrets

Returning demo players will not recognize the opening scene for the demo, as we have inserted an entirely new section to better orient players and introduce Iris to the island! Not only that, there are new treasures and new rooms to discover in the rest of the demo.

Save Slot & Checkpoints

Players can now choose to respawn upon death (for a limited number of lives). If they run out, they return to their last checkpoint. Lives are restored when using checkpoints.

Clockwork Ambrosia also makes use of a new save slot system.

New Weapons Interface & Weapon Loadouts!

The equipment and weapon screens have received an overhaul to make them more intuitive and quicker to use. Let us know what you think!

Detailed Notes

Campaign

  • New opening prologue section

  • New rooms and some layout changes

  • New weapon mods to find

  • Water art and effects are greatly improved

Combat

  • Enemy Armor absorbs damage from projectiles based on the number of pips the enemy has

  • Missile Launcher deals increased damage to armored enemies

UI/UX

  • New in-game menu system; use shoulder buttons to tab through weapons while editing

  • New save slot system: progress is now tied to a single save file

  • Bosses now have their own unique health meter

  • Armor reduction is now displayed in the damage popups when damaging an enemy

  • The game now has a system icon!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where collision detection behaved incorrectly in rare instances

  • Fixed an issue where OpenGL errors would sometimes appear for certain systems

  • Fixed an issue where shoulder buttons for Xbox Input controllers wasn’t always recognized
