I’ve spent a bit of time recently watching some of you playing Cloak And Coin over on Twitch, and it’s been so fun to see. It’s one thing building the game in isolation, but seeing people actually enjoy it, figure things out, and even struggle with some of the mechanics is really insightful from a developers perspective.

This is a small patch to address some of the early issues reported since Update 1.4. Thanks to everyone who took the time to send in bug reports and feedback as always.

Gameplay:

  • Added a new feature to dynamically extend Interaction widget based on text length.

  • Drastically reduced Wraith's movement speed to better align with intended enemy.

  • Increase Wraith's audio cue timings to ever 3 seconds to give Players better awareness of when the Wraith is close by.

  • Adjusted the parkour jumping puzzle in the Rogues Den to make it a bit less unforgiving and irritating.

  • Updated Lockmelter's in-shop description to better reflect what the item actually does.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where jailed players would not drop Heavy items.

  • Fixed a bug where Players that fell into out-of-bounds zones and were jailed would not drop their items.

  • Fixed a bug where prime items for a contract would not respawn if thrown into some out-of-bounds zones.

  • Fixed a bug where Players could throw items into trees and get them stuck there on Gunpowder Gambi t and Brewing Trobules contracts.

  • Fixed a bug where Players could get stuck interacting with Equipment Crates.

  • Fixed a bug where Players could still interact with a Vault door after it was already opened.

  • Fixed a bug where Server hosts in-game menus would randomly timeout after a few seconds, allowing them to move around while inside the menu still.

  • Fixed a bug where you could get stuck in a corner on the Gunpowder Gambit contract.
