Cloak And Coin changes
Greetings Thieves,
Apologies for the lack of posts this month, it’s been a busy one. I’ve been going through feedback and implementing features I’ve wanted to add for a long time. This is shaping up to be one of the larger updates since Cloak And Coin’s early-access launch.
Let’s dive straight into what’s new.
New Finale heist: Ledger Of Lies
Expanding the finale heists in Cloak And Coin is something I’ve wanted to tackle for a while. With this update, I finally had the chance to sit down and properly design a heist that feels both engaging and meaningfully different from what’s already in the game.
Ledger of Lies is a classic bank heist that puts you and your crew in a tough spot. Your goal: uncover the Master of Coin’s ledgers and expose corruption too large for the Crown to ignore.
You’ll need to locate the drill parts, assemble it, fuel it, and secure the incriminating ledgers, all under the pressure of the Timed curse (15-minute limit). I had an absolute blast designing this one, and I really hope you enjoy playing through it just as much.
I’ll also be adding achievements tied specifically to this finale in a future patch.
Re-worked Equipment: Introducing Kits
One of the most common pieces of feedback I’ve seen is that Equipment just wasn’t being used.
More often than not, Thieves would ignore what was available in the Rogues’ Den, not because it wasn’t interesting, but because it felt cumbersome. In many cases, it became an inconvenience, locking you into holding an item like a shovel and preventing you from properly engaging with the core gameplay.
This update aims to fix that!
Introducing Kits, a reworked system designed to better support Thieves during contracts and finale heists.
Kits can be purchased from Sandie in the Rogues’ Den for 1,500 gold each. Once bought, they’re permanently unlocked for your character. They persist across careers and carry over into any contracts you take on.
Kits act as reusable tools with a cooldown. You can equip them at any time using the assigned key (Q by default, changeable in the Settings menu), and use them with your throw input (right mouse button by default).
In Update 1.6, there are 5 Kits available:
Stun Kit
Dynamite Kit
Lockmelting Kit
Smokebomb Kit
Distraction Kit
I won’t spoil too much here, but you’ll find all of them available for purchase as soon as you enter the Rogues’ Den.
Once you’ve had a chance to try them out, I’d love to hear what you think. Feedback, ideas, and suggestions for future Kits are always welcome, you can share them on the Steam Discussions page or over on the Discord server.
Alongside these major additions, there are also a number of smaller changes based on player feedback:

As always, if you’d like to report bugs, share clips, or chat with me and other Thieves, you can join the community here.
I also want to extend a big thank you to each and every one of you reading this and playing Cloak And Coin. It’s been a challenging few months since launching into Early Access, but seeing people enjoy something you’ve put so much time into is a huge motivator.
I’m excited to keep expanding the game and building it out further.
Happy heisting,
netDOT
