Claws & Chaos changes
In the latest patch for Claws & Chaos, we’ve made some significant changes to Rapture Mode. Also, the Monkey family has entered the game!
Heads up that this patch goes live in one hour, at 11am Eastern Time, and the game’s servers will be offline from now until then while we perform maintenance.
Rapture mode now utilizes a Ranked System rather than the old leaderboard, new Rapture Cards with more meaningful choices, and new weekly Rewards!
The Monkey family is now available in Arena and Rapture mode. Sorry, Bird family, you’re out for now! Here’s each member of the Monkey family now available for battle:
Pre-Evolution Monkey
Unethical Builder Gaboon
Gorilla Brawler
Monkey Agents
Monkey Shaman
Marmoset Ranger
Monkey Guardian
Here’s everything new and changed in Claws & Chaos v1.06.18
System Changes:
Monkeys Added! The monkey family is now playable in Rapture and Arena!
Ranked System replacing the old Rapture leaderboard. In lieu of the design challenges of a King of the Hill system, we’ve created a skill-based ranking that will permanently exist on the leaderboard (no resets).
Earn Career Score by getting further in Rapture! Depending on your current rank, the points you earn will vary.
Find your place - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master.
Players all start at 400 Rank points and climb up (or fall down) from there!
Rewards will be granted every week at the same time as Arena Leaderboard reset. Earn Acoins based on your Ranking! All players above Silver will earn a reward and decay -50 Rank points.
Masters = Rapture King Profile Frame + 200 Acoins
Diamond = 100 Acoins
Platinum = 75 Acoins
Gold = 50 Acoins
Silver = 25 Acoins
- Arena Roster RotationMonkeys are in and Birds are out for Arena only! Rapture contains all units available, so you can still choose birds for the long haul.
New Rapture Cards will appear and present more meaningful choices. We’ve removed the crappy temporary cards no one wants - so each card presents some long term or economic benefit.
Main Menu music won’t start on splash screen, instead it will begin on main menu.
Bug Fixes / QoL:
Fix for Damage Tracker Display not filtering right when more than 8 units are tracked
Added sound cue for Poison abilities
Campaign Balances:
We have adjusted campaign battles to fix some bugs and improve the difficulty curve to better prepare players for PvP.
Fixed Chipmunk units (Chipmunk Soldier and Archer in Campaign, Chipmunk summoned by Chipmunk Monarch) to have the correct stats.
Combat Balances: Balance changes have the goal of bringing up the strength of melee units and addressing the over-reliance on Econ units
Re-animated attacks for Multi-hit units such as Weeb Hamster and Preschooler Bunny to fix bugs where they would lose attacks at higher ATK SPD. This also results in cleaner, more fluid animations and much faster damage output.
Poison now deals 1 damage for each “stack” on a unit. Stacks persist forever unless specified.
Merging Food fix to prevent “free laxative” effect from occurring. Both units will combine their food count, while still maxing out at 4.
Rabbits:
Rabbit Middleschooler
ATK 8->7
Raccoons
Ringtail Miner
Ability now reads “On Deploy: Get 1 Free Refresh (Max one per turn)”
Red Panda Guardian
Ability scaling buffed from “On Refresh: Gain [5|6|7] Shield” to [7|10|13]
Rodents
Chipmunk Monarch
(Bug fix) Chipmunk summons now have 30 HP and 7 ATK at level 1 (up from 25 HP/6 ATK)
Plague Rat
Now inflicts 1/2/3 stacks of Poison per attack.
