Claws & Chaos changes
The Claws & Chaos demo has been updated with a whole slew of updates, fixes, and balancing changes.
Please note that the demo is separate from the Rapture Mode playtest running Sept 26 to Oct 3. Rapture Mode will not be part of the demo, but we encourage you to join the playtest for the next week to try out this new mode.
Here are the patch notes for v0.45.15 of the Claws & Chaos demo:
System updates:
New Matchmaking system incorporates more player metrics to better match up players and avoid lopsided engagements. Note that it is still possible to encounter teams that are luckier or feel difficult, but should happen much less.
Hero List now displays all units in-game. A toggle to filter current Arena Season is added in bottom left.
UI / UX Adjustments
Audio changes
New Music everywhere! Thanks to our musician Brian LaGuardia for composing a whole new soundtrack for Claws & Chaos.
New SFX for rewards
“Voice Acting” range increased to add a medium tone
New player default volume changed from 50% -> 30%
Leaderboard UI updated to use the book asset and add in Rapture tab
Rain particle added to Ark Battlefield
Combat Changes
Damage from critical hits raised to 150% of a normal hit (up from 130%) Multi-hit attackers no longer swing at air after the target has been killed All characters with a dash on battle start now have a standardized 0.6 seconds of cloak after the dash ends
Stat Window changes
Sell button removed due to accidental clicking
Crit Stat is now displayed, Move Speed removed
Bug Fixes
Fixed some inconsistencies with campaign cutscene text progression Fixed issue where items added to the shop by units were not discounting properly with level Fixed issue where Phoenix Down would spawn resurrected units very far from where they died Fixed incorrect damage resistance calculations which were causing units to gain much less damage resistance from buffs Fixed issue where receiving a debuff would undo buff from Bardy
Fixed bug where regaining a heart would not visually display on the Win Summary screen.
Roster Balances
This patch has been aimed at tackling the discrepancy in unit values, and also lack of synergy between a hero’s ability and their family archetype.
