Clash of Adventurers changes
Arrows and Ammunition
Wooden Arrows are here. Craft them from the smithing recipe, stack them up to 999 per bag slot, and equip the whole quiver into your off-hand alongside a bow. They have their own icon and world model.
Cheap Shot now spends arrows. Every shot costs one arrow, and firing on an empty quiver tells you "You have no arrows." instead of loosing a phantom shot.
Arrows are a real ammunition type. They no longer eat a bag slot each, they swap cleanly with shields in both directions, and item tooltips now name the correct slot for them.
Ammo requires its launcher. You can no longer equip arrows with no weapon at all, and unequipping your bow returns your arrows to your bag automatically.
Aiming and Projectiles
Ranged and magic attacks now hit what your crosshair is on. If you have ever put the crosshair squarely on a monster's chest, fired Energy Bolt and watched the shot sail into the dirt at its feet, that is fixed. Shots are launched from your character's hand and now converge onto the exact point under your crosshair instead of flying on a line permanently offset below it. Energy Bolt, Etheral Shockwave and Cheap Shot all benefit.
Targeting sees enemies properly. The aim check was previously using a collision channel monsters are invisible to, so the game was never really measuring the distance to your target. It now ignores only the things a projectile passes through anyway, so corpses, party members and harmless hazards no longer confuse your aim.
Cheap Shot arrows arc. Arrows are now affected by gravity and tip nose-down as they fall. Expect to aim slightly high on longer shots.
Crafting
Recipes can now be single-use. Each recipe decides for itself whether it is spent on a successful craft, a failed one, both or neither. Every recipe currently in the game stays permanent knowledge, so nothing you own behaves differently today, but consumable recipes are now possible.
The craft station tells you the terms up front. The details panel shows "Recipe Consumed on Success" and "Recipe Consumed on Failure" before you commit, with a "Yes" highlighted in red.
Ingredient counts are colour-coded. The amount you own turns green when you have enough and red when you are short, so you can spot the missing piece at a glance.
Inspect what a recipe produces. Hovering the crafted-item row now shows that item's full tooltip, the same one you get from your inventory.
Crafting costs that span several stacks now work. If you had 999 arrows in one stack and more in another, a recipe needing the combined total was refused. It now counts everything you own.
Fixes
Trades are now all-or-nothing. If anything goes wrong partway through an exchange, for example the other player's bag running out of room, the whole trade is reversed and both of you keep exactly what you started with. Previously items that had already changed hands could stay moved, so one side could hand over goods and get nothing back.
Failed trades always say so. A partially failed trade could still report "Trade successfully finished" in one server configuration. That message now only appears when the trade actually completed.
Container duplication fixed. Putting a container that had items inside it, such as a Recipe Book, into the trade window and then cancelling could leave you with two copies. Cancelling now returns containers to your bag correctly, contents intact and no duplicates.
Your bow no longer vanishes. Equipping or unequipping arrows while holding a bow, or firing your last arrow, made the bow disappear from your character. Arrows now have their own attachment point, so the bow stays visible no matter what you do with your ammo.
Party member levels update live. Your party panel now updates a teammate's level the moment they level up, instead of holding the value it was built with until you left and rejoined the party. It follows downward too if a party member dies and loses a level.
Chat bubbles stay above nameplates. Overhead bubbles now keep a consistent gap above player nameplates at any distance. Previously the bubble crept downward as you backed away and eventually covered the name and health bar entirely.
You can hide chat bubbles. Two new options hide other players' overhead bubbles, useful in a busy hub, or hide your own, which some players prefer in third person. Both cover speech and typing indicators, and turning a setting back on restores any bubble still active rather than losing it.
Monster nameplates rebuilt. The health bar now fills correctly the moment a nameplate appears instead of animating up from empty, and it no longer animates at different speeds depending on your frame rate. The level-difference colour on a monster's name is now driven by the same settings the minimap uses, so the two can no longer disagree, and max-level monsters are correctly identified as max level regardless of your own level.
Security
Movement speed validation tightened. The server previously allowed a margin of extra movement time to absorb normal network and clock variation, and a modest speed exploit fit inside it. That margin is substantially smaller now, and a client moving faster than the server allows is pulled back into position rather than quietly limited. Legitimate players should notice nothing: the tolerance for genuine frame hitches, packet loss and level streaming stalls is unchanged.
Less data leaves the server. Other players' experience totals and buff lists are no longer sent to your client. Nothing you could see before has been taken away, party member levels still show in the party windows and your own character is unaffected, but that data now reaches only the players entitled to it. This closes off a route memory-reading cheat tools were able to exploit.
Behind the Scenes
Server-side groundwork this patch: anti-spam protection confirmed working live, the foundations for player-count limits and a cleaner login screen, the systems stackable ammunition runs on, retired unused server commands, and less unnecessary network traffic for dropped items.
