  • Performance
  • Gameplay
  • Maps
  • Balance
addedOur March update is one of the biggest for us and brings many new aspects into the game. The features are almost fully installed and will soon be fine-tuned. That means we test them for playability, performance, balance and errors. AI also wants to learn how to use the new opportunities. In addition, not all buildings are in the game, which will be created, added or optimized in the next few days. So there is still a lot of work to do before the update is released.
addedHere you have a small overview of the new features. (Please note that there may still be changes and the list is not yet complete.)
addedThere will be a new 2x2 map with a tropical touch.
changedAll buildings are now displayed in the game world and most of them can be improved.
addedDiseases can now break out in cities and food plays a bigger role for units. In addition, you can now train them to gain experience points without a direct fight.
addedThere will be new buildings. Mines are now special structures that will be built on planned raw material deposits outside of cities. These can bring great advantages to your empire and have their own management.

It's been a while since the last summary, but now we have some news that we want to share with you.

This includes our update for Civitas Nova, which is planned for the middle / end of March and on the other hand we would like to give an outlook on the future of Civitas Nova.

Our March update is one of the biggest for us and brings many new aspects into the game.

Here you have a small overview of the new features. (Please note that there may still be changes and the list is not yet complete.)

  1. There will be a new 2x2 map with a tropical touch.

  2. All buildings are now displayed in the game world and most of them can be improved.

  1. The first step to make the world appear more alive will be inhabitant that walk through the cities.

  2. Diseases can now break out in cities and food plays a bigger role for units. In addition, you can now train them to gain experience points without a direct fight.

  3. There will be new buildings. Mines are now special structures that will be built on planned raw material deposits outside of cities. These can bring great advantages to your empire and have their own management.

  4. There will be 2 new units. Firstly, the constructer, who can build structures outside of cities in the game world. First of all, this will be a camp for units and of course the mines. The second unit will be the archer and marks the beginning to bring more tactical depth to the fight system. Additional units and an expansion of the combat system are planned for the next updates.

  5. There will be a lot of new information which should make your actions even clearer.

  6. The research has been expanded and now includes special research, which is unlocked by area research. At the stage there are about 10 special researches are planned. This will be expanded in later updates.

  7. Multiple selection of combat units. As in other RTS games, you can now select multiple combat units and send them to a destination.

  1. Of course there are graphical improvements, optimizations and bug fixes on board.

Of course, that's not all, there will be more in the update news. A manual construction mode is also planned to place buildings independently in the city. So hopefully this is good news for all builders. If we fail to insert this in our March update, it will come with the next one.

After this update, we are version 1.0 a lot closer. We have planned some more features that you will hopefully like and that will come with the planned June update. Since we do not want to overload 1.0, we will shift our focus afterwards to small additions, optimization, fine tuning, playability and performance. In addition, we have planned to process your feedback more intensively.

What else happens: In the next few weeks we will finally edit our website to be able to display information there. It was important to us to get the game as far as possible with a very small team before we try to increase the visibility of the game. In addition, a new gameplay trailer is planned and of course screenshots are always updated with the latest changes.

We thank our early supporters of Civitas Nova who see potential in this game! Feel free to write to us if you find wishes, criticism or bugs.

With the March update we will set the price a little closer to the retail price for version 1.0. Most of the early access revenue is used to develop the game. :)
