🏗 SANDBOX MODE – Now Available!
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new way to experience Chinese Frontiers. Ever wanted to build the Village of Your Dreams without worrying about survival mechanics or building costs? Now you can! Let your imagination run wild — and don’t forget to share your beautiful creations with us.
Choose from 4 presets:
Creative – Unlimited freedom. No limits.
Survival – An even greater challenge than before.
Default – The original Chinese Frontiers experience, exactly as designed.
Custom – Tailor the experience to your liking with 10+ adjustable settings.
The new mode uses World Partition technology to:
Better managment of memory during level explore
HLOD’s for long distance enviro elements
Faster level loading
Better performance - ready for build many structrures
🧧 Lunar New Year – Special Features!
🛕 Celebrate the New Year by building two new ceremonial blessing structures (unlocked via a new tutorial quest):
Humble Altar
Elegant Altar
🪔 Incense & Offerings
Place 9 different types of offerings at your Altars to boost your character’s strength, speed, durability, and more. You’ll need a new item: Resin – crafted from Pinecones that fall from trees.
🐎 Festive Decorations
The Year of the Horse calls for something special! Decorate your Village with beautiful Horse statues and sculptures made of stone, jade, limestone, or iron.
Main Menu Redesign
Enjoy a refreshed and festive new Main Menu!
⭐ Highly Requested New Features!
Standalone Chest – You can now place chests anywhere — in your Village or beyond. More storage, total freedom. The sky’s the limit.
You can now assign colored emblems to your chests to stay organized.
Placeable Travel Points – Explore the vast plains with confidence. Place your own fast-travel points and return anytime with ease.

Added DLLS - For GeForce RTX Cards , also FrameGeneration (2x for 40xx and 4x for 50xx Series)
Improved building placement and loading (reduced memory usage)
Reduced FPS drops when placing the Buildings
Reduced GPU usage and better performance with built buildings

Added Egg Container to prevent resource loss (community suggestion)

Improved gamepad controls in menus

Beginning tutorial improvements:
Hunger and thirst are now locked until unlocking the Kitchen
Caravan interaction redesigned:
Easier spawner placement without requiring perfect positioning

Map Filters Added – Toggle specific POI categories on or off to quickly find what you’re looking for
Building Menu Improvement – New “Last Selected Category” button for smoother building flow
Autosave frequency now applies instantly
Added option to rebind the QuickSave key

Fixed an issue where Villagers sometimes didn’t spawn after building the Villager’s Hut

Added Lamb to all traders
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed (based on player feedback):
Unable to place fences on certain terrain types
Resources spawning on already built structures
Rust Armor spawning before quest unlock
Birds appearing to fly while sitting on the ground
Text clipping in the Hotbar
Endless fainting animation
Crafting continuing after respawn
Tools locking in the Hotbar
Visual glitches when breaking tools
“The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd” NPC spawn issues
Silk Workshop elements not spawning (also fixed retroactively)
Stone bases disappearing from player-built structures
Dying during cutscenes
Duplicate quest items
Palm leaves not attached to trees
Various localization issues
