Chinese Frontiers changes
Dear Builders,
Thank you for your continued support, patience, and valuable feedback. We've been hard at work addressing many of the issues reported by the community while also improving stability, performance, and overall gameplay quality.
This update contains a large number of bug fixes, several highly requested improvements, and additional optimizations aimed at making your journey through Chinese Frontiers smoother and more enjoyable. We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to share suggestions and report problems — your feedback continues to shape the future of the game.
Let's take a look at what's new:
⭐ Highly Requested Fixes
Fixed an issue where the quest"Hands to the Task"would not progress correctly.
Issue where the"Wait for Villagers to Gather Wood"task would not progress correctly.
Fixed an issue where NPCs would not spawn after increasing the Villager Max limit.
Example: Players could have only 5 villagers despite the Villager Max limit being set to 15.
Also, Fixed an issue where the Villager Max value would sometimes not update and remain stuck at the original value of “5”.
Fixed an issue where Warehouse contents could sometimes be cleared after teleporting back to the Village from other maps.
Fixed an issue where Autosave could stop functioning after changing the autosave frequency setting.
Fixed an issue where part of the bridge that needed to be deconstructed would not appear correctly on The Plain Area of the Nine-Arch Bridge level.
Attempted fixes for the Warehouse becoming empty. Unfortunately, they do not work retroactively.
🚀 Optimization
Disabled DLSS Frame Generation to improve stability and reduce crashes.
Water material now adjusts based on graphics settings to improve performance.
🗺 UI Improvements
The"Split X Amount"feature now allows players to manually enter a value in the quantity field instead of only using the slider. (Player suggestion)
Added the correct action icon for Load Game.
Added the total number of available and occupied slots to the Warehouse Chest UI.
Fixed an issue where the Fill and Take actions did not work correctly across all chests.
Improved the overall functionality and reliability of the loading screen.
🏗 Village Managment
Villagers can now craft rope.
👥 Villagers & NPCs
Fixed an issue where facial animations did not correctly match the facial mesh on some NPCs.
Fixed an issue where The Golden Carp NPC could sometimes disappear.
🔊 Sound
Improved sound system stability, resulting in fewer crashes.
Added a heartbeat SFX when player stats are critically low. (Player suggestion)
Added missing ambient sounds in Sandbox Mode.
Fixed an issue where “building” music would stop abruptly in Creative Sandbox Mode.
Fixed an issue where music would not start at the beginning of the game.
Fixed an issue where NPC sound effects would sometimes not play correctly.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed the bridge completion cinematic not triggering correctly.
Fixed missing POIs in the Engineering II quest.
Resolved missing AOIs for NPCs at the Textile Plant in Village Management.
Fixed water interaction on the Desert level.
Fixed loading screen action icons becoming non-functional after loading a save.
Fixed the missing interaction tooltip during the Engineering II quest when carrying the Mechanism Kit.
Fixed inconsistent Spacebar functionality in dialogue trees.
Prevented Sandbox settings from carrying over into Story Mode.
Fixed the Bricklayer Kiln displaying active flames when no wood was present.
Resolved duplicate NPCs appearing after using the Save Converter.
