The Games from Quebec event just ended and we've had a blast! Your feedback has already impacted the course of development. This update shows a fraction of the good you did to Chaos Crown!
Additions :
Since our team and our community keeps growing, we decided to take a moment to design a credits menu. @NelsieOo on Instagram made it so we don't forget our biggest contributors and team members. Its button will be available in the Main Menu.
If you're mentioned and you would prefer to stay anonymous or be called by your full name or by a username/nickname please let us know in the comment section so we can adjust accordingly in the next update.
Camera shake effects when casting abilities. This is a work in progress and probably needs adjustments. We think this is an excellent way to add more feedback to the game and hope you'll enjoy it!
Loïc Bouchard has upgraded more Forest Rooms so you can walk more freely. He also added secret locations. Hope you'll enjoy! Note : some of the extended parts of the terrain are unwalkable for the AI. We are seeking a way to resolve this issue.
The portals will show the name of the room instead of the Open text when close enough.
Fixes :
The destroyable rocks and trees gave us trouble with performance. They where partially the cause of the "not responding" loading screen issues. Fixing this bug made us learn a lot about the hidden calculations that Unity does and it really brought benefits to the performances as you'll see by playing.
@Rylatar gave us a very good list of English sentences to fix or rework. We've started applying her ideas, although the list was so long we did not have the time to cover everything for today so we'll do that in two separate updates.
The default sound setting where too loud. We've changed the default sound settings based on a capture made by @Pamelot! Tell us if this pleases you or if we missed something.
The Cyclop Boss used to stun you with his charge attack. We removed this malus since it was more confusing than anything.
We fixed the treasure chests spawners.
Fixed a sound glitch that occured when throwing a fire ball with the first upgrade.
We will spend the next week on more of the feedback we noted before focusing additions again. Stay tuned for what's coming next!
