changedLast week was focused on improving the gameplay of our combat rooms. We wanted to reduce the restrictions of our rooms and allow players to explore.
changedWe adjusted the collision of trees.
addedThe field combat rooms have extended borders. Those two scenes have more than tripled in size. This was possible because of our new team member : Loïc Bouchard! He will use his talent to create the upcoming rooms of the next levels. By exploring the field rooms, you'll be pleased to uncover secret locations. This opens a lot of possibilities when we decide to make unique NPCs or hidden rewards! We are really excited to have him work with us and we hope you'll enjoy his work as much as we do!
addedLoïc has also reworked our Challenge Room since the last one didn't go easy on our GPU. He also added his own touch to it!
removedFurthermore, we removed the wolf wave from the Challenge Room. We recycled those units into common monsters by lowering their stats. Tell us if this nerf was enough!
changedWhenever the enemies are on fire, you'll hear a subtle flame sound.

Additions :

  • Players can reach the top of huge obstacles such as big rocks.

  • We adjusted the collision of trees.

  • Most of the trees should have mesh collisions instead of capsules. This will improve the precision of calculations.

  • Whenever you dash through a tree, you destroy it. You may have to use the dash a few times.

  • Players can shoot projectiles at small to medium rocks to break them.

  • The field combat rooms have extended borders. Those two scenes have more than tripled in size. This was possible because of our new team member : Loïc Bouchard! • Whenever the enemies are on fire, you'll hear a subtle flame sound.

  • Enemies get stronger the more you complete levels. Right now the stat bonus is about 20%, might increase since the players are usually a lot stronger with the rewards in their inventory.

  • We just added a new enemy type to Stravux : Wyverns!

  • Our Steam page has been updated. A trailer should follow soon!

We believe it is time to reveal our participation to the Games From Quebec Steam Sale!

To celebrate, @NelsieOo from Instagram will livestream Chaos Crown during the first few hours of the event. She'll spealk French. I'll be in the comment section to discuss in both English and French, see you there!

Tell us what you think of this update! We hope to completely remove invisible walls from the game as soon as players can swim. We also noted that there is feedback missing from the gameplay. We just found a tool that may fix this issue in the next updates!

Have a nice week! -The Team.
