addedAs much as we want to keep improving the game, we cannot keep it in early access forever. Cast VR has left early access! The game can now be experienced as a complete project. We are not done with Cast yet and will be uploading small improvements and fixes as we make them. It has been a long road and a lot of effort to get the game into a new state. We have updated huge parts of the game and refined a lot. The game is still far from perfect but we are finally happy with how the new spell system feels and we are really excited about having everyone experience it for themselves.
addedSpell Recast System Wanting to make the gameplay a lot smoother we have a new spell system. This system allows you to select spells more easily and recast them even easier. Select your spell from a wheel, aim, fire and then wave your wand enough to cast it again.
addedNew Spell Book The spell book has had a complete makeover, instead of needing it to cast spells, you use it for what books are best for: Looking up information. The new book allows you to go over what your current objective is, or read more on how a spell works. Not only that but you can now edit your settings mid game.
addedVFX Updates Along with our new spell system we have redone Most VFX in the game. Have a look out for the new flashy sparkles and pops that you can throw around. Finding spell books should be a lot more clear as they now float and glow at you instead of being… well books.
addedA New Enemy The knights were looking a little tough for the first thing you fight, so we have added a new enemy to the mix, wisps that are spawned out of magic in the air. Keep an eye out when exploring the castle.
changedPuzzles Re-Tweaked A couple puzzles that particularly confused people have been edited to give players a lot more information to work with. This with the book should make some parts of the game a lot more clear if you miss a dialogue line or two. Making a few others feel a little more polished.
