Repeated intro

Hello!

What changed

17 fixes6 additions7 changes1 removal

  • Performance
  • Maps
changedLarge Dumpsters There was a need for large dumpsters for mid and late game, and we’ve been talking about it with the community on Discord for some time. Nil has drawn the sprites, and I created the system during the public test stage, but other priorities kept delaying it. Anyways, it’s here now! The large dumpster is double the size but triple the capacity of a regular one.
addedBut while fixing an annoying security bug (where security could stay at -100 even with a resort like a bank vault full of CCTV cameras), I also added the crime and detention graphs. They’re still rough, but the numbers and main visuals are now there for monitoring crime.
changedSettings Menu As you might know, the settings menu is something I want to expand and polish, along with other UI windows I haven’t reworked yet, such as policies. That’s waiting for the next update.
addedHowever, after the EOTC launch, some players experienced screen tearing, especially on high-end monitors or graphics cards. While working on this, I made initial design changes to the settings menu and added an autopause option for the end of day report, thanks to feedback from our Discord community. It’s not complete yet, but I plan to add more gameplay settings and slots for upcoming options.
fixedFixed an issue of not being able to connect utility lines behind the "Creating Document" icon.
addedAdded an End-of-Day Report auto-pause setting to the settings menu.

Here with the first update for EOTC!ːcrt_Officialːːcrt_Blackjackː It was originally planned for Friday, but it’s Sunday now. I spent the weekend buried in bureaucracy, creating documents just like in CRT ːcrt_Laughː, for governments that apparently need proof I exist, own a keyboard, and stuff.

Anyways, here we are. This update mainly focuses on quickly addressing some issues that popped up after launch. I know a few of them were annoying while playing, so we patched some of them a couple of days ago, this update is the more comprehensive version of that fix.

The next update after this might take a little longer than a week, but I’m planning to make a demo live in a couple of days. It will be bigger and include the final pieces we couldn’t get into the EOTC launch. After that, we’ll start public testing for the Nightlife update. I’m really excited to move on to the fun content more.

I don’t want this to turn into a boring blog you have to read just to get some info so here are some highlights and the changelog:

Graphs Graphs are still a work in progress, and the active ones need polish and fixes. I hope to complete almost all of them in the next update, but expect them to be fully ready with the start of public testing for the Nightlife update.
