changedStreets of Kingsport (Fictionalized Halifax)Today we will go over some of the streets you will visit in Button Man. These will host the majority of the game with many of our characters, puzzles, and story beats happening within them. All were inspired by Halifax Nova Scotia, with some landmarks appearing obvious and others interpolated to suit our style.
changedSt. John's StreetShop, drink (anything but booze wink wink), eat and take in the sights of the Old Cemetery where heroes and influential people are buried. As the seat of the Old Guard's power, Mr. Fisher ruled Kingsport from the White Rose Restaurant. Now Mr. Castellanos rules this street, and most don't seem to like him much.
fixedMiltonThe fancier part of town, where the well off reside and come for entertainment. It was the first to be fixed up after the explosion, and remains pristine as if most of the funds of the relief commission went to it. As the home of the deceased "boss" of the city, it was bound to be this way. Now his widow resides alone and a certain actress has joined the Silver Suites. On the street you will find new and familiar faces, like the Parlor of Madame LeBlanc, the Mayor's House, and the newly acquired Club Misery by a mysterious host.
fixedLower SeaviewThe tourist spot to be! Take your picture in our brand new studio, shop for the newest fashions, and stay at the luxury of the Bayview Hotel or gamble away your fortune within it. Unfortunately our art gallery is still being fixed but we hope it'll reopen soon. Don't climb up the scaffolding! As tempted as you may be!
changedButcher LaneWhile most people go about their day living it up, the hardworking dockworkers and union reps of Butcher Lane keep the economy going, above board and below it. Ruled by the Halls, Freddie and his daughter, Marianne, the union at their disposal fights hard for their rights while also being used by the likes of Fisher who guarantees their survival if they help him in return. It's a bitter relationship, one that is now broken.
changedOld Westford WayWe hope you enjoyed our little walk though Kingport! We can't wait to show you more. There's a lot work done but a lot more to do, so stay tuned for more!

Milton
The fancier part of town, where the well off reside and come for entertainment. It was the first to be fixed up after the explosion, and remains pristine as if most of the funds of the relief commission went to it. As the home of the deceased "boss" of the city, it was bound to be this way. Now his widow resides alone and a certain actress has joined the Silver Suites. Margrave
Enjoy the famous Red Gardens commissioned by a queen! Drop by the library or the horse track, whatever floats your boat. This is where the average person lives, surrounded by convenience stores, barbers, and apartments. It's where our Bruce and many of his friends call home.

Lower Seaview
The tourist spot to be!
Fisher Circle
The heart of the town! Where the government sits, where the bank deals its accounts, where the people come to pray, and justice is done! Here the political fight of Mayor Decorteaux and his opponent Mr. Craine is felt the most.
Craine Park West
Not all of us are fortunate enough to live in the reconstructed part of town, some of us live in temporary houses, in damp places that fall apart, waiting for the Relief Commission to come and help them after they lost their homes to the explosion. Here you'll find the Craine Park Gang and the trusty Donovans, Jaime and Danny.
Butcher Lane
While most people go about their day living it up, the hardworking dockworkers and union reps of Butcher Lane keep the economy going, above board and below it. Ruled by the Halls, Freddie and his daughter, Marianne, the union at their disposal fights hard for their rights while also being used by the likes of Fisher who guarantees their survival if they help him in return. It's a bitter relationship, one that is now broken.
Old Westford Way
Outside the city limits, lies the skeletal remains of old Kingsport, the destruction that the explosion left behind. Though bound to be rebuilt, progress is slow and no one really knows when their houses will return to them. At the end of the road, the broken Donovan House stands, where Jaime and Danny lost their parents.
We hope you enjoyed our little walk though Kingport! We can't wait to show you more. There's a lot work done but a lot more to do, so stay tuned for more!
