fixed--------------------------------- Bug Fixes: Fixed WASD controls (left/right were reversed). Fixed confusing drag interactions. Cocoa trees now have particle effects! šŸ¦‹šŸƒ There are butterflies and gently moving leaves. Bunny work time now has a minimum of 4 hours (was 0). If a bunny finishes early (e.g., all crops harvested), it’ll now help others. Such helpful bunnies! šŸ°šŸ’¼ ----------------------------------
changedAbout the refactor: I updated the cocoa tree animations, which meant digging through messy code and manually updating every item’s settings (first-time dev mistakes šŸ˜…). Then I noticed deeper problems and started another refactor... again.
changedI wish tutorials warned about the black hole of bad code. Game dev is way harder than I imagined—both in coding and in designing gameplay. This is my first game, and I’ve learned a lot. Next time (my third game), I’ll plan the systems and gameplay properly from the start.
changedThis farming game… the movement keys were reversed for months, and no one told me—because barely anyone played 😭
changedStill, I love my second game. It feels like a finished piece. The median playtime is 28 minutes, which means players who open it usually finish the story. This one only has 20 minutes of content (needs better gameplay), but I hope my third game can hit 1 hour of playtime.

Note: If you’re a returning player, there’s not much change besides the cocoa tree animation.

---------------------------------- šŸ’¬ Dev Notes Hi again! I'm back with an update—you probably didn’t expect that!

I’ve been thinking about turning this into a full game… but it’s still not quite "fun" enough, so it's on hold for now.

About the refactor: I updated the cocoa tree animations, which meant digging through messy code and manually updating every item’s settings (first-time dev mistakes šŸ˜…). Then I noticed deeper problems and started another refactor... again.

I wish tutorials warned about the black hole of bad code. Game dev is way harder than I imagined—both in coding and in designing gameplay. This is my first game, and I’ve learned a lot. Next time (my third game), I’ll plan the systems and gameplay properly from the start.

šŸŽ® About My Second Game My 2nd game was recently released as a full version! Sales are low, but the long, thoughtful reviews truly touched me. It’s a story-focused game, and the feedback means a lot.

Early on, I kept checking for comments and screenshots. When no one notices your game, every small interaction feels precious. It's lonely making a game alone.

This farming game… the movement keys were reversed for months, and no one told me—because barely anyone played 😭

Still, I love my second game. It feels like a finished piece. The median playtime is 28 minutes, which means players who open it usually finish the story. This one only has 20 minutes of content (needs better gameplay), but I hope my third game can hit 1 hour of playtime.

----------------------------------

šŸ“Š Random Stats My second game: Only 28% of buyers opened it. Very strange… Maybe the story is too sad—people support it but don’t want to go through it. Or they played the demo (which has half the content) and never opened the full version.

This farming game: 73% of buyers launched it. A more "normal" number.

----------------------------------

Thank you so much for being a player. 🧔 It really means the world to a solo dev like me.
