Hi!
As you can probably tell from the title, the update release is taking a bit longer than expected.
The new contracts turned out to be more complex to develop than I initially anticipated, and I’m still working on them.
I expect to finish this update — at least bring it to a full testing stage — within the current week.
I deliberately focus more on testing at every stage of development. This extends development time for updates, but results in more stable and well-designed content.
There’s no real point in once again listing everything that will be included in this update, so this time I’d like to talk a bit more about the next update instead.
What’s planned for the next update
In the next update, the user interface will be completely reworked.
Main planned changes
Unified UI style
All user interface elements will be redesigned in a single, consistent style.
Current UI style:
Upcoming UI style:
Unified main menu
All core menus (construction menu, finishing works menu, and others) will be brought together into one main menu. You’ll be able to switch freely between them without unnecessary transitions.
New shop UI
The shop interface will be redesigned, with more convenient management of items added to the cart.
New contract list logic
The contract list will be generated in a new way:
after completing the tutorial, all level 1 contracts will be available;
after reaching character level 2, level 2 contracts will become available.
Small tasks from local residents
Small tasks — short errands from local residents — will be added to the game.
The reward for these tasks will be lower than for bunker construction contracts, but they will take significantly less time to complete.
At first, they will serve to add some variety to the gameplay, and later they will become part of a new system.
New contract types
New contract types with a limited scope of work will become available:
excavation-only contracts
construction-only contracts
and other variants
In such contracts, you’ll need to complete just one specific type of work — for example, only digging the shaft and bunker chambers, or only building the load-bearing walls (exact options are still being considered).
NPCs and a more lively world
Starting with this update, I plan to begin adding NPCs to make the world feel more alive — local residents will appear in the environment and go about their daily business.
See you next week!
