Over the last few days, we focused mainly on improving the flow before a match starts. This update is not about flashy new explosions, sadly, but about making the game feel smoother, clearer, and less annoying to use.
What changed:
Improved the main matchmaking flow
Added a cleaner lobby state before matches start
Updated the Ready / Not Ready system
Added a visible match start countdown once players are ready
Improved squad handling so teammates stay grouped correctly
Improved friend invites and invite popups
Added better handling for joining invited lobbies
Improved lobby player cards with avatars, ping, level, rank, and K/D info
Added region selection and ping display
Improved connection and reconnect feedback
Added Training Room support from the game mode menu
Improved lobby UI animations and player list behavior
Improved squad leader and kick logic
Fixed several cases where lobby UI could show the wrong players
Fixed some invite and squad sync issues
Added more stability around joining, leaving, and cancelling matchmaking
This update is part of the ongoing work to make BREAKPOINT: Viper Squad feel more polished before bigger gameplay and content updates arrive.
