changedWhile you've been busy building spaceships, the Breachway team has been busy with some pretty major developments. Systems are being overhauled, mechanics are being revamped, items are returning, and player feedback is being implemented. In case you missed any of it, here's a roundup of all the recent Breachway development news!
changedBreachway News RoundupResource bays have been overhauled. Previously, they all generated resources in similar ways. But after the rework, resource bays will play a major role in defining a run's playstyle. Now, most ships start without a resource bay and receive and random drop as the first equipment drop. Railguns have been similarly overhauled, with almost all railgun weapons being redesigned.
addedBreachway News Roundup14 new subsystems have been added. This is the first step in making subsystems a larger part of the gameplay loop. Now, 160 total subsystems are planned for the game launches. The subsystems released in this patch are just the start of this system, aimed at letting players specialize their builds.
fixedBreachway News RoundupA minor but important mechanical change was made in this patch as well. Now your reactor resource distribution is locked when you are overheated. This patch cycle also included two hotfixes to address balance, bugs, and other issues reported by the community. Make sure to check out the patch notes for this one for the full look at all the changes. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2118810/view/683000875796398622 Patch #31 fixed several core issues reported by the community, like a softlock/crash that could happen if a player visited too many shops in a run. It also addressed display issues with equipment descriptions and multiple text issues with a handful of cards. Last but not least, localization and controller support got some attention in this patch, with progress being made in both of these aspects. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2118810/view/683001509142594549 Thanks for reading! ~The Hooded Horse Team

Patch #30 focused on reworking some of the game's core equipment systems.
Resource bays have been overhauled. Previously, they all generated resources in similar ways. But after the rework, resource bays will play a major role in defining a run's playstyle.
