🤖 The Botling Speed System

Managing a swarm that only walks forward can get intense, so you can now manually adjust the movement speed of your Botlings on the fly. Whether you want to slow down to analyze your paths or speed things up to watch your creation run, I have got you covered.

Main Features:

  • 5 Speed Settings: You can now set the Botling movement speed to Extra Slow, Slow, Normal, Fast, or Extra Fast.

  • No Production Cheating: This slider only changes how fast they walk. It does not affect their internal item production speed. You still have to earn your throughput through pure logic layout, not just by overclocking the system!

🛠️ Building Placement Overhaul

I also spent some serious time reworking how you build your factory.

  • Tighter Layouts: Buildings can now be placed significantly closer to one another, letting you create much more compact and efficient designs.

  • Visual AidsI added clear visual feedback in the building mode so you can see exactly what is blocking your placement. No more guessing why a structure won't snap into place. See that flashing red circle? 😉

🐛 Bug Fixes & Sound Polish

As always, being a solo dev means a never-ending game of whack-a-mole with bugs. This build addresses several issues with building mechanics and cleans up the logic for Botling pickups so things flow much smoother.

To top it all off, I have added some crisp new SFX to give the factory floor a more immersive, mechanical feel.

Try It Out!

The updated build is live. Go test the new speeds, see how tight you can make your factory lines, and let me know what breaks! Your feedback keeps this journey going.
