changedChangelog:Weapon system fix. - You'll now automatically pick up a weapon if you don't have one equipped. - Perk upgrades only affect the current equipped weapon , but the weapon keeps the upgrades even if swapped or dropped. This also paves way for weapon attachments and additional upgrades like projectiles etc.
addedChangelog:Backpack system fix. - Picking up a weapon from the ground when having a weapon equipped will equip the new one and put the old one in your backpack if you have room. If you don't have any room, you'll need to drop something (pressing F). - Previous system had weird logic, flaws and bugs.
changedChangelog:Enemy spawning has been reworked to be more performant. - Enemies now only spawn somewhere around the player instead of anywhere on the map. This should improve performance.
changedKnown issues:Grabbing a weapon mid-air (ie. spawning from a crate etc) can result the character grabbing it weirdly. If this happens you can just slam F to drop it and pick it up again.
changedKnown issues:Enemies can spawn inside or beyond the rock borders of the map.
changedPlanned stuff for future updates:Additional modifier passive upgrades to character (dual-wielding one-handed weapons, reload speed with certain weapons, extended magazines, explosive bullets etc.)

Changelog:

  • EXP-shards disappear after 60 seconds.

  • Tombstone now shows the enemy who dealt the killing blow.

  • Enemies now show getting hurt properly.

Known issues:

  • Enemies can spawn inside or beyond the rock borders of the map.

Next update:

  • Perk adjustments will change from flat value upgrades to percentage upgrades. (+X value => +X%) Abuse the system while you can.

Planned stuff for future updates:

  • Additional modifier passive upgrades to character (dual-wielding one-handed weapons, reload speed with certain weapons, extended magazines, explosive bullets etc.)

  • New weapons (a new shotgun, sniper, revolver)

  • New character class (probably ranged, wanna vote?)

  • Extended map with new biome

  • Explosives

  • Status effects

    (In no particular order, will work on what I happen to have inspiration for, probably)
