Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you to everyone who has played Bitter Harvest, shared feedback, reported bugs, posted reviews, or simply taken the time to tell me what worked and what didn't.

Since launch, I've released three major updates focused on player feedback. Those updates addressed immediate areas of need such as farming, NPC interactions, gameplay variety, character depth, mini-games, and quality-of-life improvements.

The game has changed substantially since the initial release and if you have been enjoying the updates, I'd really appreciate if you can leave a review!

Many players have asked what comes next, so today I'd like to share the current roadmap for Bitter Harvest.

As always, plans may evolve as development continues and new feedback comes in, but these are the areas I am currently focused on.

  • More reasons to revisit the mines

Version 1.7: Relationships & Village Reputation

This update will expand how the village responds to your actions and how relationships develop over time.

  • Village reputation system

  • Villagers forming opinions about your actions

  • Different playstyles becoming available (honest, opportunistic, manipulative, and more)

  • Additional dialogue and village reactions

  • Additional NPC-specific cutscenes

Thank You

Bitter Harvest began as a story about arriving in a village and discovering that the future you were promised has already been taken away.

The response from players has helped shape what the game is becoming, and I'm excited to continue building on that foundation.

Thank you again for your support, your feedback, and for being part of the journey. I look forward to sharing more as development continues.
