changedIt’s been about a month since my last update, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Over the past six months, I’ve had to move three times, and it’s been a whirlwind of chaos—honestly, a proper cluster mess. But the good news is, I’ve finally found some stability. My visa situation has been a rollercoaster—first declined, then won on appeal, only to have that overturned. But, I’m back home in Scotland now, and I can finally breathe easy without worrying about visa issues.
addedAfter sharing a pre-release demo with a few folks, I received some fantastic feedback, and I’ve really taken it to heart. The consensus was that there needed to be more things to do. While I’ve already fleshed out a fair number of questlines, it was clear I needed to add more content to the EA build. Of course, the final game will have hundreds of quests, but for EA, I’ve been hard at work adding a few new characters and finishing up their questlines.
addedI also received feedback on some bugs, spelling and grammar issues, and a few voice lines that needed polishing. I’m happy to say that all the questlines in the EA build are now fully voiced. I’ve also done some camera tweaks to smooth out the gameplay experience and fix those annoying glitches. Now, let me introduce you to a couple of new faces on the island:
addedHamish MacBeardieFace: A Highlander who got lost on his way to work and somehow ended up on the island. There’s a whole new questline around helping Hamish find his way—or maybe he’ll just settle in!
changedBoth characters are fully modeled, rigged, and in the game, with their questlines nearly finished. I’m also working on recording their voice lines and making a few final tweaks.
changedBeyond that, I’ve been busy tweaking the landscape, refining foliage, reducing loading times, and fixing up the menu system, which got a bit buggy in the last build. There’s still so much more to come, and I’m really excited about the upcoming Early Access release.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly plugging away on the game and the Early Access (EA) trailer. So, let’s dive into the juicy details you’re here for—the game!

After sharing a pre-release demo with a few folks, I received some fantastic feedback, and I’ve really taken it to heart.

I’ve also done some camera tweaks to smooth out the gameplay experience and fix those annoying glitches. Now, let me introduce you to a couple of new faces on the island:

Hamish MacBeardieFace: A Highlander who got lost on his way to work and somehow ended up on the island. There’s a whole new questline around helping Hamish find his way—or maybe he’ll just settle in!

Wee Rab: The local NED (Non-Educated Delinquent) who’s always up to no good. He’ll have you running around the island trying to locate his elusive stash. Be prepared for a bit of mischief!

Both characters are fully modeled, rigged, and in the game, with their questlines nearly finished. I’m also working on recording their voice lines and making a few final tweaks.

Beyond that, I’ve been busy tweaking the landscape, refining foliage, reducing loading times, and fixing up the menu system, which got a bit buggy in the last build. There’s still so much more to come, and I’m really excited about the upcoming Early Access release.

I apologize for the delay, but now that I’m settled with a proper office, stable internet, and a place to work, things are moving forward steadily. Expect more updates in the coming weeks, along with a couple of “making-of” videos I’ve got in the pipeline. So keep your eyes peeled, and don’t forget to upvote the post if you’re excited about what’s to come!

Thanks for sticking with me on this journey—there’s a lot more ahead!

Cheers!
