Update for this month

I’ve been working feverishly behind the scenes to get everything ready for the first major update, which I’m hoping to release before the end of Q1—possibly even the first week of March. There’s been a huge amount of work going into the game, adding new content, fixing issues, and making improvements. I’ve kept my head down focusing on this, and I’m excited to share what’s coming soon!

In the coming days, I’ll be posting a detailed patch notes list covering everything included in the Q1 update. There’s a lot to unpack, so keep an eye out for that. I’ll also be sharing a roadmap outlining the updates planned for the rest of the year, so you know what to expect.

On top of the development work, I’ve also been applying for funding through Scottish EDGE and a few other funding bodies. If successful, this would help speed up development and allow me to expand the game even further. The goal is to bring you more content, better systems, and fully voice-acted, high-quality quests—because let’s be honest, boring fetch quests just aren’t my style. I want every quest to feel like a quality experience, with a bit of that signature brutal humor you’ve come to expect.

Being a solo developer means things can take a bit longer, but I’m fully committed to delivering a complete game that lives up to your expectations. Your patience and support mean the world to me.

We recently had a successful playtesting session at the GamesHUB Playpazook event. The feedback was invaluable. It highlighted a few areas needing improvement, including rebuilding the mini-map system and making quest objectives and goals clearer. I’m already working on these changes to ensure the final product is as polished as possible.

There’s so much happening, not just with the game but also with growing Haggis Goes Wild Studios into something bigger than I ever imagined. Bigfoot vs Scots is shaping up to be something truly special, and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.
