added✨ Hello fellow Wizards, Witches and Spellcasters! ✨We're pleased to announce an update to our public alpha playtest! We've added this little guy as a shopkeeper in-between combat encounters. Adorable little menace, isn't he? If you don't watch out, he'll rip you off though, so stay vigilant.
changed✨ Hello fellow Wizards, Witches and Spellcasters! ✨Steam post imageWith that and various other changes, we've reached a pretty solid milestone on our roadmap. Our core gameplay features are in, we've got silly voices for the wizard, a solid set of basic cards and combat encounters. But what else is on planning, you ask? Let's take a look shall we?
changedThe Road MapWe've planned out various updates for the coming months. Hopefully this will give you a decent idea of what the game has in store for the future.
addedπŸ’« Sigils UpdateIn the next update, we'll be introducing our take on Relics/Artifacts that we've come to know and love from deckbuilders. These will be passive upgrades you collect throughout your run to really tie your build together. We'll also add more cards, effects and hopefully encounters to make the game more varied and fun.
changedπŸšͺ Doors UpdateAfter that, we'll be taking a look at interesting ways to find your way through the dungeon. Select risky elite encounters for better rewards or play it safe by sticking to shops and easier combat. We might handle things a little differently than that you're used to, so keep an eye out.

✨ Hello fellow Wizards, Witches and Spellcasters! ✨

We're pleased to announce an update to our public alpha playtest! We've added this little guy as a shopkeeper in-between combat encounters. Adorable little menace, isn't he? If you don't watch out, he'll rip you off though, so stay vigilant.

The Road Map

We've planned out various updates for the coming months. Hopefully this will give you a decent idea of what the game has in store for the future.

πŸ’« Sigils Update

In the next update, we'll be introducing our take on Relics/Artifacts that we've come to know and love from deckbuilders. These will be passive upgrades you collect throughout your run to really tie your build together. We'll also add more cards, effects and hopefully encounters to make the game more varied and fun.

πŸšͺ Doors Update

After that, we'll be taking a look at interesting ways to find your way through the dungeon. Select risky elite encounters for better rewards or play it safe by sticking to shops and easier combat. We might handle things a little differently than that you're used to, so keep an eye out.

πŸ“‹ Further down the line...

After that, we've got a whole slew of content planned.

Content/FeatureStatus
New spell cards, schools and effects.πŸ”¨ Upcoming...
More varied monsters and combat encounters.πŸ”¨ Upcoming...
Managing and previewing your deck.
Permanent progression systems
Events, narrative and non-combat encounters.
New potions and consumables.
Spellbooks and classes!
Difficulty scaling and ascension system.
New and alternative bosses.
Steam achievements.
Music and better sound effects (we will squeeze that in somewhere)

To clarify, this is a rough idea of which order we will do things. It might change a bit on the fly depending on what happens and on your feedback.

As the artist (hey it's Jonas), I'd also like to mention that this is not the final look of the game. All the art in the game is basically sketches. I will polish it all up when we feel confident about the designs of the backgrounds and characters.

One last thing!

Now is a great time to jump in! Since we want this game to have a lot of replay value, we need your feedback to get there. So please come share your feedback with us in the official Bibidi Bibidi discord!

Or just come to hang out and talk wizardry with us. OK, that's all for now!

Bibidi Bye!
