Merry Christmas y'all!
Got out a pretty big update! I am excited to show you what's new and the direction we are going in.
I am sure there will be many issues, so your playing and comments are very much appreciated!
New Features:
Mail box outside of house
Besmirch Bank and Loan office
Carpentry Shop. (Not finished, but accessible)
Supply box changes. Now you will have to choose if crops are sold or for feeding town.
Supply screen! Once finished Loan, you will have to feed town. (Starvation/negative effects not finished).
Slight GUI Updates. A little prettier settings UI.
Borderless Fullscreen.
Multiple Font options.
Bug Fixes:
Dead plants no longer disappear feat.
Dead plants have new sprites
Boar corpse issues. Sometimes covering cottage "Overhang"
Dialogue being open when player dead.
Hay around cottage wasn't saving/loading properly.
Tutorial bug fixes (made order of "tilling"/"planting"/"watering" more forgiving)
Cooking food with full inventory didn't give item
Full screen not automatically setting screen ratio to 1920x1080
Sprite inconsistencies (Baron monocle on wrong eye)
Tree depth problem. Appears over fence when it should be behind
Occasional "screen fog" due to lightning strikes in Rain storm.
Paused rain drops on room save/load.
Sneak not working during some cutscenes.
Chest save file duplication issue. This one was hard but really important!
Some better button logic, hovering effects added on sleep screen.
Saving/Loading during initial tutorial no longer breaks tutorial.
Loading empty file no longer possible.
Crafting tab "Craft" button was not clickable occasionally. Now it's more consistent.
Moved "Beet Festival" to Saturday. Instead of 2nd thursday. It was too confusing.
Boss fight issues resolved.
Upcoming:
Town Starvation! I have to get this one right. I don't want it to "kill" NPC's, as that may be too demoralizing. Instead, I will probably add a "Depraved state"
Depraved state. Where NPC's become hostile until subdued/captured or fed.
Building Houses upgrades
Building Town Decor/Functionality (Bridges, Forge, Market, etc)
More consistent Town homes.
With so much being done, I am sure I introduced double the bugs.
That's just how game development goes sometimes though! I am excited to see these new features polished and even more cool stuff to come.
