Major Update v1.0.0
Hey everyone! We've been working hard to get this build out, it's a big one! We've fundamentally changed the progression flow of the game and now reward you for your efforts in the Arena - to name a couple.
Patch Notes
✨ New Features & Major Changes
- New NPCsIntroduction of three new non-player characters to the Overworld (Hurken the fighter, F'Leena the mage and Eremus the rogue)
Player Progression: Unlock items and boons from the NPCs in the Overworld to expand the content you see in the game
Item Persistence: Upon successful completion of dungeon quests, you now keep all items and equipment you collect
Item Bank: Introduction of the Item Bank in the Overworld to store the items you collect, which you'll need to unlock more items
Item Stacking: Most items can now stack, so you can cram more into your inventory
- IAP RemovedWe listened! We have totally removed in-app-purchases from the game
- More Shards From ChallengesWe've increased the number of golden shards you gain from completing challenges
Shard rewards From Arena Participation: You will now receive a shard reward for each wave you clear
- New Items AddedWe have added 20+ new items to be unlocked and discovered throughout the dungeon
- Arena Leaderboard ImprovementsThe leaderboard UI has been redesigned and we've added a physical leaderboard next to the arena entrance in the Overworld to display the top players of the day
- Improved Difficulty ScalingDifficulty scaling has been reworked for Treasure Hunt quests to help smooth out the difficulty curve between normal and extreme
- Steam AchievementsAround 20 achievements have been added
Arena Goal Change: Made it so the arena doesn't need to be escaped, just run till you die
🛠️ General Improvements
Enemy HUD hover-over info greatly improved
Level-up menu and boon selection UI polished
Added a Challenge Completed Notification
Feedback for Clients if they try start a Quest on the Questboard - "Only the host of the session can begin a Quest"
The dice claim screen now displays which of the dice elements are new
Set up ambience sounds for certain props for atmosphere
Audio filters applied when going invisible and when confused
We now lock away filters in character creation depending on what you own
Added more combat music
Added a credits screen
Replaced arena map screen with mode info and reward details
Post processing effects added when you take damage
Improved textures for Ice, Water and Electric Elementals
Added a confirmation window when buying dice sets from store
Made floating text more visible
Title Screen - Updated bug icon with DISCORD icon
Added sound effect for when a ghost steals your items
Can no longer have multiple copies of the same damaging status effects
🐛 Bug Fixes
A large number of issues have been fixed to ensure smoother gameplay overall
Can no longer open empty pop up window on Inventory
Multiple UI scaling issues fixed
Enemies no longer target the shop keeper
Dice inspection panel now displays the correct AP values
Player no longer turns grey when using Smoke Bomb
Tile indicators are now hidden when the player enters the character creator
Fixed an issue where Bats could jousting charge through urns
Equipping a staff in the overworld now correctly gives you the staff blast skill when entering the dungeon
Music now correctly transitions to the overworld music when returning to the overworld
The Blue Sparkle Effect on 'Hidden Cache' and 'Trapped Chests' will now disappear when they have been emptied of loot
You can no longer be teleported outside of a locked room when you have trousers with the Temporal Displacement trait equipped
Fixed an issue where selecting a fully completed quest would load you into an entirely different quest
All Status VFX (eg Electrify) no longer stop working when they go in and out of the player's line of sight
Decoy Figments will now follow the player when cast outside of a turn loop
Temporal Displacement will now only trigger from direct hits, and not status effect damage (bleed, poison etc)
Temporal Displacement now triggers correctly when hit by an Attack of Opportunity
Champions will no longer drop status effect potions with the 'Goblin Friendly Buff'
Fixed an error with the challenge reward track which would stop you claiming rewards
Champions - Fixed issues where some champions weren't displaying their textures correctly

User Reported UI Bug - Right Click menu goes off screen
Various multiplayer soft-locks have been addressed
Fixed an issue where the Potion of Frost Foot did not leave any frost tiles when walking
