✨ New Features & Improvements

We've polished several aspects of the game and added new layers of customization:

  • Dynamic music system: Now battle music kicks in when combat loop is joined, the tracks intensity ramps up when damage is taken, and dies back down again when combat is over.

  • More music added to both the Overworld and Dungeon playlists.

  • Abominations can now be killed.

  • New potions added:

    • Potion of Frost Foot : Makes your footsteps freeze the tiles they walk on for 1 turns.

    • Potion of Precision : Increases your critical hit chance by 50% for 4 turns.

  • Enemy spawn rates in treasure hunt quests have been reduced

  • Character Creation Refinement: We've renamed 'Body Types,' 'Face Shapes,' and 'Hair Style' for greater clarity

🐛 Bug Fixes

A number of issues have been fixed to ensure smoother gameplay overall:

  • Downed Player TeleportFixed an issue where using 'Teleport Other' on a downed player could incorrectly swap them and leave them in a partially revived/downed state.
  • Plant Flower Skill Fix: The Plant Flower skill now correctly only spawns flower beasts and no longer plants traps, resolving an issue where the flower traps could bug out the combat loop system and keep it active.

  • Volcanic Blast Exploit Closed: Volcanic Blast now correctly triggers turn loops to expand, preventing an exploit where the skill could be used infinitely outside of the combat loop.

  • Gauntlet Room Escape: Enemies can no longer escape the room when doors are locked in the Gauntlet, specifically addressing issues with Spiders leaping over walls.

  • Smoke Bomb InvisibilityFixed a bug where the heavy goblin enemy could still target and use a skill on the player even after the player used a Smoke Bomb.
  • Targeting UI Clarity: Enemy targeting icons and AP UI reduction will no longer display when casting multi-stage spells for better visual clarity.

  • Arcane Pillar & Meathook Interaction: Enemies caught in an Arcane Pillar are now immune to Meathook, as intended.

  • Summoner Ghoul Placement: Minions for the Summoner Ghoul will now correctly spawn within the displayed grid boundaries.

  • Music TransitionResolved an issue where the game music did not properly change back to the Overworld theme after completing a quest in singleplayer (some issues remain in multiplayer)
  • Abomination BlastThe blast radius for Abominations has been reduced from 4 to 3, and we've ensured that the blast will no longer penetrate through solid objects.
  • Multiplayer Health DiscrepancyAddressed a bug causing health value discrepancies when a player is revived in multiplayer (1HP on their screen, 0HP on others').
  • The 'Mimicking' effect will no longer apply to Illusions, preventing further related issues.

  • Champion Boss RewardsRemoved specific Status Effect Potions from the rewards dropped by defeating Champion Bosses.

Crashes and softlock related issues:

  • Startup CrashFixed a rare crash occurring during local player creation related to the Steam Client.
  • Arcane Pillar Softlock: Targeting a friendly player with Arcane Pillar outside of combat will no longer result in a softlock where the player cannot move or end their turn.

  • Illusion SoftlockResolved an issue that could lead to a softlock related to conjured illusions.
