changedMid-Run Save, Grimoire, Settings Overhaul, Tutorial Polish & Sound ImprovementsBig patch this time. We've been working on a few quality-of-life features that came up again and again in your feedback, and quite a bit of polish across the board. Let's get into it.
addedWhat's NewMid-Run Save & Continue: You can now leave a run halfway through and pick up exactly where you left off. No more "I have to finish this Circle before bedtime" moments.
addedWhat's NewGrimoire & Progress: A brand new Extras section in the home menu, where you can browse the Canones, Reliquiae, and cards you've unlocked, plus a Progress page tracking everything you've discovered so far (Canones, Reliquiae, events). Last patch we hinted at a Collection screen; here it is.
addedWhat's NewSettings Overhaul: Options are now organized in proper tabs (Gameplay, Graphics, Sound). The new Graphics tab adds resolution, window mode, and vsync controls. Settings is reachable directly from the home screen now, and we also added a delete-save option for anyone who wants a fresh start.
addedWhat's NewTutorial Improvements: The card clash sequence now teaches itself in stages, with mid-tutorials surfacing as you actually encounter the relevant moves, rather than dumping everything on you up front. We also added a dedicated tutorial for negative Vigor play, which players were running into without much warning.

Mid-Run Save, Grimoire, Settings Overhaul, Tutorial Polish & Sound Improvements

Hi everyone,

Big patch this time. We've been working on a few quality-of-life features that came up again and again in your feedback, and quite a bit of polish across the board. Let's get into it.

What's New

  • Mid-Run Save & Continue: You can now leave a run halfway through and pick up exactly where you left off. No more "I have to finish this Circle before bedtime" moments.

  • Grimoire & ProgressA brand new Extras section in the home menu, where you can browse the Canones, Reliquiae, and cards you've unlocked, plus a Progress page tracking everything you've discovered so far (Canones, Reliquiae, events). Last patch we hinted at a Collection screen; here it is.
  • Settings OverhaulOptions are now organized in proper tabs (Gameplay, Graphics, Sound). The new Graphics tab adds resolution, window mode, and vsync controls. Settings is reachable directly from the home screen now, and we also added a delete-save option for anyone who wants a fresh start.
  • Tutorial ImprovementsThe card clash sequence now teaches itself in stages, with mid-tutorials surfacing as you actually encounter the relevant moves, rather than dumping everything on you up front. We also added a dedicated tutorial for negative Vigor play, which players were running into without much warning.
  • Battle Highlight Rework: When you start dragging a card, all playable cells highlight (gold for normal play, pink for negative Vigor play). Once you hover over a playable cell, only that cell stays highlighted; pass over an unplayable cell and the full set lights up again. Much easier to read at a glance.

  • Sound Polish: Various SFX fixes, plus hover sounds and hover delays on interactive elements.

Bug Fixes & Polish

  • Count Ugolino EventFixed tile selection and the tooltip on the reward.
  • Potentia Icon During ClashesFixed a visual glitch where a small portion of the Potentia icon stayed visible on cards that should have been covered during a card clash.
  • Canon Color Inheritance: Canones generated by other Canones now inherit their creator's color (blue for yours, red for the enemy's) instead of defaulting to white, making it easier to track who made what.

  • Enemy Name Tooltip: Hover over an enemy to see their name properly.

  • Reward Region SortingWhen choosing a Canon as a battle reward, the available Regiones are now sorted by available space, so the best fits surface first.
  • Sacrifice Zone AnimationFixed a bug where the sacrifice zone animation stayed enlarged after a forced pulse end.
  • Reliquia Rarity ShaderAdded a rarity shader to Reliquiae for clearer at-a-glance reading.
  • Tutorial Bark OverlapFixed the case where Veskariel's barks and the tutorial box overlapped each other.
  • Negative Vigor Penalty: Fog now clears before the negative Vigor penalty kicks in, so the trigger is properly visible.

  • Tooltips While DraggingTooltips are now disabled while dragging a card, for cleaner readability and a less cluttered play surface.
  • Cloud Animation Speed: Cloud animations now match the battle speed setting, so the atmosphere stays consistent when you crank things up.

  • Home Layout: The home buttons now reposition based on whether you have an active run saved.

  • Run Stats Saving: Run statistics are now properly saved between sessions.

  • Various Visual & UI FixesRemoved right-click as a redundant input, fixed scene-transition bugs that triggered multiple times, polished hover behavior across menus, fixed a save/replay tutorial bug, and squashed several typos.

Known Issues

  • Tutorial Replay in Choose GuardianTriggering the tutorial replay from the Choose Guardian scene was causing problems, so we've temporarily removed that option from that scene. We'll bring it back once it's stable.

What's Next

  • End Run RecapAlmost there. The new End Run Screen with full stats and a recap of your descent is targeted for the next update.
  • Multilanguage Support: A first localization pass is in the works and a draft might land as soon as the next release. Big step toward making Hell more international.

  • Game Design Rework: We're rolling out a deeper pass on the underlying logic of the game over the next 2–3 releases. Some pieces will land in the next patch; others will follow as we work through it.

  • New Circles & Hell MapFuture Circles of Hell are taking shape, and the Hell map itself is getting a full visual rehaul to match. The map work will take longer, but the new environments are progressing.
  • Win/Loss Screens & DialoguesBoth are getting reworked for clarity and impact.

As always, your feedback is what keeps this game getting better. If something feels off (or feels great), let us know. Every bug report, suggestion, and rant helps.

Catch you in Hell, The Team
