Hi everyone, It’s a big day for us. After a long time spent in the trenches of development - tweaking Canones, balancing the "Surround and Flip" logic, and polishing the aesthetic of the afterlife - we’re finally ready. The demo is live.

Honestly, it’s a bit nerve-wracking to finally hit "publish," but we couldn’t be more excited to see how you all handle the first steps in Hell.

What’s waiting for you in the Demo?

We wanted this demo to feel like a real slice of the game, that's what you can get into right now:

  • First Circle - Limbo: You’ll have access to the full tutorial and the entire first Circle of Hell - Limbo.

  • Find Your Combo: We’ve included 35 Canones and 15 Reliquiae to discover. We’re really curious to see what kind of broken, powerful builds you come up with!

  • The "Surround and Flip" Combat: This is the heart of our game. It’s inspired by the spatial logic of classics like Triple Triad and Othello. Try to beat 3 different enemy types (and a couple of nasty Elites) to seize control of the board.

  • Be the Judge: You’ll go head-to-head with Charon, the Custos of Limbo. Once he’s down, the power is in your hands - your verdict will actually change how your build grows.

  • Starting Out: Choose between 2 different Genius archetypes to find a playstyle that fits you.

What’s next?

This is just the start of the descent. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be hanging out here and sharing more about the world of Beatrix. We’ll be posting updates on the lore, some "behind the scenes" on the art direction, and maybe a few secrets we’ve tucked away.

We really need your feedback!

Building a game in a vacuum is hard; building it with a community is how it becomes great. Please, tell us what you think. Did a mechanic feel weird? Did you find a strategy that felt amazing? Your feedback is exactly what we need to make the full descent into Hell something special.

Thank you so much for being here and for giving our game a shot. It means the world to us.

Catch you in Limbo,

The Team
