Battle Realms: Zen Edition changes
This quick update patches a few technical issues around widescreen support in certain scenarios, some performance improvements in edge cases, and localization tweaks that should make your playthroughs smoother. That’s enough of a preview of what’s coming in the 1.59.6 update, so let’s dive right in!
Technical
Implemented fixes for cinematic scenes, text rendering, and cursor issues in widescreen and ultrawide screen resolutions.
This should address that annoying cursor trail glitch.
Integrated Intel graphics users running with DirectX12 on Windows 11 should be in a better place and fixed an issue that could lead to the game crashing.
Windowed mode should now run and behave as expected.
In this pass, we improved FPS performance and should fix heavy FPS drops in certain edge cases.
Restored Windows 7 compatibility for older systems and other compatibility layers.
Localization
Updated localization across the entire game in UI, tooltips, pop-ups, and other locations.
Non-English languages should now see the correctly translated text that were previously hard-coded.
Localization efforts are ongoing. If there’s a spot that we missed or you have a suggestion for one of our supported languages, drop by our Discord and let us know! We’d love to hear from you on how we can make Battle Realms better for everyone!
