Thank you for playing BALLYGON! The new Version 2.2 update brings lots of fixes for an improved gameplay experience.
A major feature of this update is the improved timer calculation! The timer is now more accurate than before, meaning you will get more precise measurements of your clear times. Because of the improved timing calculations introduced in Version 2.2, Personal Bests recorded in earlier versions will not carry over. Sorry for the inconvenience! I hope you will continue to enjoy playing BALLYGON.
Game Updates:
Physics update rate increased from the default 50Hz to 60Hz for more accurate physics detection. • The Timer now ticks at a rate of 0.017 milliseconds (1/60 of a second). • Air control mechanics have been improved. • Bumpers are 10% stronger than before to compensate for physics changes. • Boost Pads are 1% stronger than before to compensate for physics changes. • Bounce Threshold decreased from 8.25 to 7.25. Bounces can now occur from a lower height.
System Updates:
Session Best - When Personal Best and Practice Mode are activated, Session Best will temporarily record your best time for that stage until you change the stage, activate Modifier Mode, or exit. • When VSync is off, the frame rate is limited to 60 to match the Time Step and reduce hardware strain. • Exchange Modifiers become green when activated for better visual clarity. • Fixed a visual glitch where the seconds on the Timer displayed 00 for a single frame at the start of a session. The Timer now properly shows 60 to 59. • The initial fade in from black during sessions will now complete its animation during a pause. • Tutorial Prompts in the BEGINNER Challenge will not appear if "Course Timer" or "Personal Best" are active. • New song for the Results screen: "Grain Shift - Anthony Seeha" • The Results screen now shows a different background image depending on which difficulty is cleared.
