changedThe purpose of most of these balance changes is not to reduce power from fire-rate as all upgrades have had a suitable increase in other areas. However stacking fire-rate was causing issues at the top end of Endless mode. Essentially you could have towers that could fire dozens of times per frame which was causing extreme instability.
changedTower Overcharge - Fire rate increase reduced from +200% to +100%. Cooldown reduced to 2 waves from 3.
changedOverdrive - Fire rate reduced from +100% to +50%. Damage increased from +100% to +150%

  • Tower Overcharge - Fire rate increase reduced from +200% to +100%. Cooldown reduced to 2 waves from 3.

  • Overdrive - Fire rate reduced from +100% to +50%. Damage increased from +100% to +150%

  • Capsule Doping - Fire rate per capsule reduced from +40% to +20%. It now also increases damage by +20% per capsule.

  • Ammo-Stockpile - Fire rate reduced from +75% to +35%. It now also increases damage by +35%.

  • Icicle Condenser - M6-Frost Fang Fire rate bonus removed. Replaced with +10% crit-chance and +40% crit-damage.

  • Overloaded Flak Cartridge (New name) - Previously increased MG41-Autogun fire-rate by +20%. Now increases Crit-damage by +50%

Gameplay

  • Rerolling the Trader now refreshes Capsules as well as upgrades.

Visual

  • Enemy Burrower digging effect is now easier to spot.

  • Removed the visual glitch effect in some UI elements, and removed the option in the settings to toggle it.

User Interface

  • In the Research Tree all hidden upgrades are now visible and replaced with Question Mark symbols until you reveal them.

  • Buttons in the settings menu are now easier to click on (Larger hitbox)

  • Leaderboard width increased slightly.

Optimisation

  • Quite a few things have been altered for the sake of optimisation.

  • Particle systems now have a limit of how many can be visible at once.

  • The green currency particle that goes towards the nexus has been removed. (In end game scenarios there would be thousands of particle systems at once)

  • Frame rates on medium settings are about 20% better at idle now (This might be different on different setups)

  • Vsync is now on by default (Can still be toggled in the menu)

Bug Fixes

  • Vaccine Research upgrade tooltip fixed and flavour text added correctly.

  • Fixed a few other tooltips which were incorrectly coloured.

  • Fixed a few spelling and grammar mistakes in tooltips.

  • Fixed an issue where Overclock Capsule would deal more than 75% of max HP to itself if the structure had an extra damage bonus.

  • Deselecting a refinery before placing it will now correctly delete the path line towards it.

  • You can no longer open the trader outside of trader waves using the hotkey instead of the button.

  • Screen rendering size is now always 100%.

  • Extreme and Apocalypse difficulty will now show as beaten correctly in the stats page if beaten.

Misc

  • Updated recommended system requirements on the steam store slightly.

Known Issues

  • Flame ring from Flaming Barrel upgrade is not appearing on every structure (Just a visual bug)
