Most importantly, the English version of Astrobuilder is now officially available. English-speaking players can now experience the game with full English language support. Thank you for your patience and support while we worked on the localization.
In addition to the English version, this major update also brings the MOD Editor, Steam Workshop support, voice input, Life Planner, descendant nurturing system, achievement system, and many other new features. We have also made extensive improvements to Prophecies, Wormhole Exploration, Free Mode, guild management, character customization, desktop companion mode, and more.
Important Notice: This update includes major adjustments to the Wormhole Exploration system. After updating, alien planet exploration progress in old saves will be reset.
Below are the full details of what you can experience in the game after this update:
1. New Features and Gameplay Content
English Version Now Officially Available
The English version of Astrobuilder is now officially live!
Players can now switch to English and experience the game with English localization, including major systems, UI text, NPC interactions, quests, and gameplay content.
Since Astrobuilder contains a large amount of dynamic text and AI-driven dialogue, localization has been a major part of our development work. We will continue to improve translation quality, terminology consistency, and the overall English player experience in future updates.
MOD Editor and Steam Workshop Support
MOD support is now available for the first time! The “Gameplay Lab” is now connected to the Steam Workshop.
We have also provided a standalone MOD Editor, which supports editing the following content:
(1) Global settings (2) Planets (3) Factions (4) Characters (5) Items (6) Relationships (7) Prices (8) Spaceships (9) Buffs, and more
The MOD Editor also supports using AI to generate character biographies, rename characters, and more.
A MOD user manual and official examples have been included in the game installation directory, including a “Three Kingdoms” MOD template for reference and creation.
Added Voice Input
Added speech recognition. You can now speak directly to NPCs or desktop companions, improving the conversation and interaction experience.
Added Life Planner
Added the “Life Planning” system. Players can now plan a complete life path for descendants and view the corresponding progress timeline.
Added Descendant Nurturing System
(1) Added descendant nurturing gameplay. Players can now give birth to and raise the next generation. (2) This system also adds a descendant interaction interface and home-stay mechanics. It is integrated with the Life Planning system, giving descendants more complete long-term growth goals.
Added Achievement System
Added an in-game achievement system. Achievement progress tracking and ending achievements are now supported, allowing players to unlock goals gradually during gameplay.
Added AI Dialogue Polishing and Behavior Derivation
Added dialogue polishing. Players can now choose different language styles for chat content. In addition, some casual conversations may influence characters’ later behavior, giving NPC interactions more room to develop.
Added Relationship Customization
Added relationship customization. Players can now add custom descriptions to established relationships, further enriching how different relationships are expressed and affect gameplay interactions.
Added Custom Difficulty to Free Mode
(1) Added a custom difficulty entry to Free Mode. (2) Players can now adjust multiple rules, including spaceship bonuses and trade goods buying/selling prices, allowing greater freedom in deciding the pace and difficulty of each playthrough.
