addedClean water to you, travelers! Over the past two weeks, we have been working on a major update for Armita’s Search: improving fighter spawning, revisiting old cards, adding new ones, and polishing the readability of card mechanics.
changedImproved fighter spawning - Fixed a long-standing UX issue: new players had trouble understanding how to deploy fighters on the battlefield - Previously, you had to drag a Fighter Card onto an already deployed fighter, placing the new ally in front of them - Now, when you drag a Fighter Card onto the battlefield, the game highlights the available deployment diamonds - It is now much clearer where you can place an ally
addedSteam post image Major card update - Before this update, the game had 111 cards - 76 old cards were changed and rebalanced, with only 35 cards left unchanged! - Added 52 new cards, bringing the total to 163 cards! - Another 51 new cards have already been designed and are waiting for art. Once the artists finish their images, the total number of cards will grow to 214 More Swap cards - This update adds many more cards with the Swap mechanic — 17 of them! - All Swap cards now add the next card directly to your hand instead of the draw pile Smoother learning curve for mechanics - Cards are now divided into 3 complexity groups - In the prologue, these groups unlock gradually: first, the player gets simpler cards focused on damage and Cover; then medium-complexity cards with DoTs; and finally, more complex combinations such as Fragile, Spikes, and so on Less overload in card descriptions - We reduced the number of keywords on cards. Now, a card should have no more than 3 key mechanics - Tooltips have also been adjusted: there are now no more than 5 tooltips per card, and descriptions have become shorter Most importantly - Food cards now play a crunchy apple-biting sound when used! - We are sure you will fully appreciate this important new feature :D Something mind-blowing is coming in the next patch! This was not included in our recently published roadmap: we are preparing something new, content-related, and story-driven. Stay tuned.
