Armita's Search changes
Clean water to you, travelers! Here’s a quick update on what’s happening with Armita’s Search:
- We’re building the prologue
(the first region, with story setup and tutorial) — All core features planned for the prologue are already implemented — The full prologue is about 2 hours long; as of today, we’ve completed roughly half, with the rest coming in the next few days — It already includes drama, plenty of combat, and core gameplay
- We’ve launched the playtest
— Unfortunately, the Steam build is still under review (3–7 business days). We didn’t account for this, so there’s a chance it won’t be approved in time for the Deckbuilders Fest on May 4 — For now, we’re sharing the build via Google Drive. If you want early access, send us a message
If you’re new here — this is Armita’s Search
It’s a story-driven game that blends a visual novel (choices, branching paths, multiple endings) with a deckbuilder (card collection and tactical turn-based combat). The core mechanic is Hardening. The heroine can preserve her Humanity (but the game becomes much harder), or gradually become more ruthless. This makes survival easier — but what kind of ending will it lead to? The game is closest to Slay the Spire / The Banner Saga in a Mad Max / Fallout-style setting. The world is based on a 2017 tabletop game, Raiders of the Great Wasteland. In the story, a girl armed with a robot and education tries to survive the Barrens and find her kidnapped father. Can a “smart fridge” protect her? And who will she become if she survives? Playtest sign-up: View on Steam Join us — let’s cross the Barrens together.
