The Steam Next Fest has ended and we get some new followers and tractions. Sadly there won't be much new stuff to show in this dev log. But I'll be talking a little about what's next and the future of the game!

First off!

Thank you everyone for being interested in the game, both old and new. This is my first project and I'm learning many new things.

The Next Fest event does a pretty good number but is just a little short of what I expected. Thus, there will be some change of plan. Originally the game was planned to release as an early access by the end of this year.

Adjustment In Release Date

I've decided to take some more time to step up the game and accumulate more following. Ideally, I want to make a game presentable enough for an influencer to notice. As I've learned that is one of the most effective methods to bring your game to a larger audience. Hopefully the early access will be live by early next year.

Future Development

During the Next Fest, I tried many demos and studied other competitors in the market. I have taken some steps back to take another look at my game and sorting priorities for improvement. This is also another reason why I'm taking a bit more time in the oven before serving.

I like to think that my game already have an idea that is interesting and set itself apart. But it does feel like its not enough and need just a little more special sauce to shine.

  • I want the combat to feel more satisfying and engaging.

  • I want the overall visual to fit in seamlessly and more interesting eye candy.

  • I want the game to have better clarity so that more players can engage in depth with the mechanic.

  • And the last one is the most simple, I just want the game to be fun in general. Whether you like the action aspect or the strategizing aspect of the game.

The special demo for the Next Fest will be up for a few more days, and some content will be locked after that.
