Arjybeasts changes
Hey Everyone! ːsteamthumbsupː First off, a massive thanks to everyone who have wishlisted Arjybeasts on Steam, as indie devs it's quite a big shock to find out just how many people are interested in our silly little pixel game. ːsteamhappyː
As you may know, we recently took part in Tranzfuser 2024 and were able to present at Protoplay in Dundee and it was amazing to see just how invested people got in the current state of the game. The build that we showcased at Protoplay wasn't in the best state (in my opinion) and the tutorial was a bit underdeveloped but the game was unexpectedly well-received and most people picked up the game surprisingly quickly.
Since then, I have gone through and fixed the main issues the game was facing and it feels in a fairly good place right now (I also implemented minesweeper lol). Just a couple of bugs and design quirks for now. With this in mind, I would say that an official steam demo isn't too far from release so keep your eyes peeled.
Going forward, we plan to keep developing this game despite not being able to receive full funding from the UK Games Fund (Applying to Tesco as we speak). We will be seeking other sources of funding but for the most-part, we will be just working in our spare time to deliver the art-work that we would be proud of by the end.
