Apprentice Arriving changes
Hi gamers,
This time we were mainly focussing on the combos, animations and the movement in general. But there are also many other things we have finished.
Polished Attack Movement, Combat Voice and New Particle Effects!
We are working hard on polishing the combat system and making sure everything fits together. There hardly passes a day where the attacks are not tested over and over until we are finally satisfied and more importantly until it's cool and lots of fun!
Check out the videos below to see now a Longsword Spin Combo, the polished Short Sword Spin Combo and a new up knock strike! We have also added nice looking particle effects and powerful sounds for heavy attacks!
New Enemy Type Model
In our previous DevLog we have announced a Knights Armor outfit but unfortunately it's not completely done yet as our main modeler is fighting with a cold. However we do have another model. Say "Hi" to the Canerus! A beautiful but wild wolf that will often attack you in packs who will try to surround you. We are currently working on animations and the AI behavior.
And NO, he is not Landons pet or campanion ... There has been a chatter about Landon getting a companion. But is there truth to it? Well, who knows ...
New Textures for Enemies and Additional Enemy Sounds
Over the last couple of days we have worked on new and better looking textures for some of the creatures. They will be even more fearsome and detailed. Now there are also sounds for the enemy variations that havn't been there before.
Equippable Armor Sets
We now have a system that allows you to equip single armor sets which will be: Helmet, Armor, Pants + Boots and Gloves.
Blocking with a Shield
Yes, we are working on shields as well so you can block incoming enemy attacks. Be careful though because some of the enemies can break through with ease. There is going to be a little shield symbol telling how long you can block, similar to a stamina bar.
As we are getting closer to a playable version we are working on many features, models, SFX, VFX and so much more. That being said as soon as the enemies function as before – and better, we can release the next update so you can finally have a sneak peek of the new gameplay feeling and look.
And here we come to the end of this DevLog. The next log will be very exciting and close to the release so stay tuned guys, we almost made it!
