Ghosts Update Out Now!

The Ghosts Update is now live for the Race game mode in v.0.2.0!

Key Features

-Race against your personal best time.

-Race against any selected leaderboard entry.

-View a replay of any selected leaderboard entry.

Introduction

-Ghosts are enabled by default but can be disabled/enabled inside of the new Gameplay settings tab. Here you can also customize the look of your ghost and adjust the fade distance when you’re racing near a ghost.

Ghost Racing Details

Race Against Personal Best

-Since your current save data does not contain ghosts yet, they will appear as soon as you set a new PB for a track. If you want to race against your personal best prior to this update you can select your best time from the leaderboard (toggle friends only helps with this).

Race Against Another Player

-When loaded into a race, you can load any ghost from the leaderboard to race against by selecting the entry and choosing “Race Against Ghost” in the popup. This keeps your delta times but gives you their ghost as a target to race.

You can toggle the visibility of the ghost while racing using Right D-Pad or “G”, this can be changed in the input settings.

Ghost Replay Details

-When loaded into a race, you can choose to watch a ghost replay of a selected leaderboard entry. This will play back their run and also gives you playback controls such as pause/play, toggle slow motion, skip ahead, rewind, toggle camera view & restart replay. You can also move the camera around freely and zoom in & out.

The next part of the Ghost system development is to implement them into the Workshop maps and bring back the leaderboards for them, which will be soon!
