Math Level Revisited

The level’s for this game have begun a redesign process, ranging from new rooms to new texture sets that bring variety and differentiation to each part of the level.

The Math Level in particular showcases these changes best; a refreshed layout with new textures in almost every room to add new variety that makes each area more distinct from the previous.

Thirst Vital

The Thirst Vital / Meter is the successor of the Temperature mechanic, designed to be much more integrated with the base game. Unlike with Temperature, Thirst is much more manageable, with accessible ways to treat it like items and the water fountains found across the maps.

When you get too thirsty, you will begin to experience various negative side effects like blurry vision, slower stamina recharge, and eventually the loss of your sanity, so keep yourself hydrated!

New Difficulties

Two new difficulties have been added to the game:

  • Hard

  • Pure H3LL

Hard Mode is the difficulty that bridges the gap between Default and Brainiac. It’s a challenge for players wanting more out of the game, without dealing with the sheer absurdity of Brainiac!

The pre-existing difficulties have inherently become easier due to the buffs made across some smaller mechanics (such as food giving better stamina, speed up from soda and donuts being fixed), so a new difficulty has been introduced.

Pure H3LL aims to give a new challenge never before felt! Most enemy statistics are near identical to Brainiac, although some enemies have had statistical buffs or completely new mechanics added that can completely re-contextualize a situation! Notebooks are also a lot more difficult, so prepare your brain!

New Enemies

3 brand new enemies have been added to the game to bring variety to encounters and bring more engagement to the game’s mechanics. We won’t spoil too much about the new additions, but we will tell you their names and locations!

  • Repair Guy

    • All levels (Math Level debut).

  • Zealot

    • Language (debut, exception for Boi Mode).

    • Science (Boi Mode debut).

    • Music.

  • Dolly

    • Music.

Enemy Overhauls

All of the cast from Angelica to Lucas have also been refreshed with new code to make them more balanced to play against. Some of the changes include:

  • Angelica now only increases speed if answerable questions are wrong.

  • Principal, Ertoo, and Kittie now have limited sight range.

  • Principal now continues to enforce a couple of rules during break time (such as littering).

  • Girly’s timers are more consistent and manageable.

  • Jimmy can now pick up other enemies.

  • Ertoo now actually finds the principal to tell him about the wifi.

  • Kittie and Ertoo can now lose you in chase, though the latter will chase you for a long time.

  • Lucas has changed his speeds. With the help of Jimmy, he’s a lot more unpredictable!

Notebook Overhauls

The main four notebooks have received various changes to make them go by much quicker for skilled players.

  • Math Notebook now has difficulty variety.

  • Added hotkeys to the Language and Science Notebooks.

    • Enter key works as expected, although make sure to try out tab and shift+tab, it automatically selects the next blank spots!

  • Language Notebook difficulty is more consistent: Each sentence is missing the same amount of characters, instead of it being pure RNG.

  • Language Notebook now forces you to put correct answers in Puss Mode.

  • Added and changed some minor details about the Math Notebook, like the code’s position.

  • The 1st Music Notebook now starts immediately while Sophie is talking.

  • Potential fix for that Music Notebook key input bug.
