Release Info

The release is just around the corner - only 6 days left until January 8. The game price is set for $14.99, and there will be special discounts for 14 days!

Pastures & Pens

The first step in animal husbandry is building a suitable structure, such as a pasture or pen. Below is an example of a pen designed for animals such as pigs.

Once the player has a pasture, they need to purchase young animals to take care of and raise as they grow. Each pasture has a limited capacity, so only a limited number of animals can be kept there at any given time.

Now that we know how many animals we can raise, it’s time to visit the merchant and buy the correct number of young animals. The price of each animal depends on how valuable its meat will be later, so you usually start with chickens and eventually work your way up to cows.

Husbandry

They will roam the area and, from time to time, need to be fed and given water. This is done using a water trough and grass. You can also see the animals grow over time, making it easy to identify which ones are older and closer to harvest.

Processing

The animals will continue to grow until they are large and mature enough to be slaughtered with a knife. The better you feed and water an animal, the bigger it will grow. Be careful not to wait too long, as neglect or old age may cause it to die. A good farmer must know when the moment is just right.

Next, the raw meat can be processed at the crafting station into meat cuts ready for use in the kitchen.

In the game, several types of animals are available, allowing us to create better finished products for sale and earn more money: chickens, pigs, cows, and sheep.

That wraps up today’s update. We’d love to hear your feedback on the changes, and be sure to stay tuned for more Ancient Farmer news!
