changedChangelog:Variable amounts of grass from crops: When introducing the ability to obtain grass from withered and harvested crops, we decided to vary the amount obtained by plant type. We wanted this to serve both as an element of gameplay balance and as a reflection of the use of plant residues in animal hay. Here are a few examples: Grains (e.g., wheat, barley) are the main source of grass (after refinement, also hay). After harvesting, a lot of straw and plant debris remain, so they provide a solid amount of grass. Carrots are an example of a smaller plant that yields significantly less biomass, so the amount of grass from a single field is lower. Garlic and onions do not provide grass, since these plants are not usually fed to animals. Watermelon takes up more space in the field and therefore yields slightly more than other plants, but at the expense of space. As a result, different crops now not only have different production uses, but also different impacts on the hay supply, which gives you more meaningful choices when planning your farm.
changedChangelog:Improved feel of moving oxen and plows: We have improved the overall feel of controlling them. In addition, issues with incorrect rock and water boundary detection, which could previously cause unnatural behavior, have been fixed.
addedChangelog:Safer save loading: We have added a confirmation window when loading a game state to prevent accidental overwriting or loss of saves.
changedChangelog:Improved aquatic plant fertilization: Fertilization of aquatic plants has been optimized, and the animation will always play correctly.
changedChangelog:Better UI scaling (UltraWide): We have improved UI scaling for UltraWide monitors. The UI layout should now also display correctly on less standard resolutions.
changedChangelog:Improved plow range: The plow range has been adjusted to match its actual size. The plowed field now better matches the tool's width, both mechanically and visually.

Changelog:

  • Infinite source of grass: We heard that getting enough grass for your animals was tough during long games. Now, you can dig up withered or harvested crops with a shovel to get grass. This makes grass renewable, so you won’t run out, even in long sessions.
