Release 0.4.2.4

Not much has changed in this release but since its been a month from the last patch notes I'm using it as an excuse to keep folks updated on my progress. I ended up releasing a few hot fixes since 0.4.2.

addedNot much has changed in this release but since its been a month from the last patch notes I'm using it as an excuse to keep folks updated on my progress. I ended up releasing a few hot fixes since 0.4.2.0 which I added to the bottom of the last notes as usual if anyone is curious.
addedDungeonsI've added a lot more light to the rooms than you will find whilst exploring a dungeon, otherwise you would barely see anything! Whilst exploring I intend players to either use the Mining Light spell or to place torches as you explore so its easier to spot where you have yet to visit.

Dungeons

This month most of my time was spent on the algorithm to place dungeons nicely and have rooms connect properly with each. It turned out to be Way more time consuming than I expected but its finally in good shape now. I've also had to take on short a paid contract whilst working on this update which took up a fair bit of my time. I was planning on sharing a video of exploring a dungeon but I've decided not to in the end so I don't give too much away. Instead here are some pics of some rooms I've been working on.

On the subject of light, working on these dungeons has shown me various lighting issues that I'll aim to solve/improve as well. You can see some of them in the images above where light is changing harshly along a straight line.

  • New blocksSword and shield decoration, dungeon pillars, coffins, metal chandelier, spiked metal fence, dungeon handcuffs. Some of these can be seen in the images above. and all should now be available in creative mode
  • Updated the Magical Talisman crafting recipe to use Clay instead of Wax

  • Fixed wedges not being included in the 'Shaped' category of the creative mode menu

Release 0.4.2.5

  • Fixed metal chandeliers not enabling their particles etc

  • Fixed cow leather strips not being accepted in recipes that need leather strips

  • Fixed long thin wooden tables being in the explosives group instead of tables in the crafting UI

  • Fixed the challenges objective in the totem being labelled as Pig Bone

  • Fixed a serious bug with totem upgrades where it would show you needed to defeat waves in the challenges, but really it wanted you to gather bones!

  • Fixed being able to shift click inventory items and cause various issues in screens where it makes no sense to do so (E.G whilst viewing the creative menu)
