addedI hope everyone had a good Christmas/New Years! I took some time off myself and rather than diving headfirst back into dungeons I wrapped up what I was working on and spent some time tackling bugs. After this update I might start on the final changes for Dungeons that are harder to come back from so it might be a while before the next one lands. This is also because my personal life has become pretty busy since I'm currently trying to buy a car as well as hunt for some contract work so I'm finding less time to work on Aiyana.
addedGrid SnappingOne of the things I've been battling with dungeons is the blocky vs natural aesthetic and decided that they do need a more natural touch at times. To address this I've had to overhaul how some of the blocks place. Firstly instead of snapping to a grid based on the objects size, which always keeps things neatly within a block, things can now snap to a 10x10 grid. Finally, some objects can now be scaled and rotated with much more detail than before. Steam post image
addedGrid SnappingThis picture doesn't really do the systems justice but it shows you can now place things much more naturally. So if you want a huge or a tiny chair, it can accomodate that. These systems are only applied to a few decorative blocks currently but I'll add it to more blocks over time where it makes sense to do so. I wont add snapping etc to large blocks like tables and beds yet because their logic is more complex spanning multiple blocks but I'll consider them in the future. Currently its applied to: vines, reeds, pots, scales, scroll, inkwell, mushrooms, cup, crate, barrel, chairs, stools, buckets.

Grid Snapping

Release 0.4.2.7

It turns out my fix for instant casting spells was causing problems with toggled spells. In trying to fix that I decided that having 2 spell cast modes didn't make enough sense to justify it so now the only casting mode is instant casting. This is where pressing 1 when a spell is in the first slot will always cast it instantly.
