Welcome back Adapters!
How’s everyone doing? Hope everyone is enjoying the warmth (or heat) of May. Adapt has been making an appearance in various events this month, so let’s dive into this May round-up and check them out!
Trailer going Viral!
Recently, our publisher Slug Disco started a publisher channel on YouTube and reuploaded Adapt’s first trailer – then it went viral, sitting at almost 150k views! We are absolutely thrilled for all the attention our game has received (thank you for all the new wishlists!). This original announcement trailer was first posted quite a while ago, and Adapt has been through many evolutions since then. Over time, Adapt acquired many new features with more in the works, and we can’t wait to show everyone what else will be coming next to the game!
Indie Assemble
From May 5 to May 11, Adapt was part of the Indie Assemble festival, organized by Excaliber. This massive event included an extensive collection of over 1,000 indie games by more than 600 development studios from around the world.
☕Cozy & Family Friendly Games Celebration 2025
As of the time of this blog post, we are currently taking part in the ☕Cozy & Family Friendly Games Celebration 2025! From May 29 to June 02, numerous wholesome and cozy titles, both released and upcoming, are showcasing their work in this event! Check out the event and all these cozy games on the Steam page!
Community Creations
Of course, we can’t have a monthly round-up without highlighting some creative designs from our community:
Frostwyrm by infernalanole725. A gigantic beast with a chilling (heh) aura! Its massive size helps generate maximum body heat in the freezing climate, with horns for both mating and combat. It even has a spiky tail to defend its rear!
Next up, Floomfs from Delight, which happens to be their first creation! The idea behind its design is “to give a mildly uncomfortable vibe” with an “innately curious look”. Personally, I find it oddly adorable. What do you think?
And last but not least, a Megalosaurus created by Lance Darkwater. A mid-sized jack-of-all-trades carnivore, its diet ranges from fish to large bovines. They are surprisingly adaptable, and can be found in deserts, grassland and rainforest.
