Adapt changes
It’s already the end of March! Time really goes by in the blink of an eye! Let’s have our quick monthly catch-up!
Demo update
A month ago we had an interim update for the demo, introducing various fixes and optimizations to the gameplay. The highlight of the patch was definitely an updated creature editor, which has been overhauled with additional customization options. What do you think about the new changes? Let us know as we’d love to hear any feedback you have for the game!
Earth Appreciation Festival
We’re participating in this year’s Earth Appreciation Festival! From April 1 to April 8, this Steam event features both popular titles and upcoming games with discounts and demos available. The variety is massive, with one common theme = their appreciation for our planet Earth.
We’re also part of the event showcase where Paul, Adapt’s solo-developer, talks about some of his plans for Adapt. Check out the video here!
Community Creations
It's been a while since the last creature review, so let's see what the community was up to!
First up, a cool dino from Jurasicktrap. The game doesn't have arms yet but seems like the player has managed to improvise and adapt (hah!), With a mean-looking head design that surely is a scary predator!
And then we have Gamerduck's Buggy Duck (user name checks out), A goofy creation with detailed setting. Quoting from the creator themselves, "it swims and runs with it's nostrils close to the ground to sniff out plants and insects. Buggy ducks nest by piling sticks on a shallow depression in the ground". A lot of thought was put into this creature and we love it!
To top it off, a spider from Winterspell. I don't know why but it's giving me bile titan flashbacks from Helldivers 2, and I'm a bit scared of it.
And that's a wrap for March! Join us on our Discord server to share your own creations, and follow us on Twitter, TikTok and YouTube for more news to Adapt!
