Abject Abyss changes
The Demo is out now!
At long last, the demo is public on steam. It contains the first 30-60 minutes of the game, enough to give you a solid idea of what to expect.
And as a bonus, saves from the demo will carry over in the full game, letting you pick up right where you left off at release.
Details
This is the first part of the game in it's current state. I'm sure there will be further tweaks and modifications, but what you play in the demo is mostly the same thing a new player at release would get.
The demo will be kept up to date with the full game at least until release, and I do intended to leave the demo up after launch. That way people can try the game free for a while to see if they're interested before having to spend any money.
Bugs?
I've ironed out a lot of bugs so far, but if you happen to discover a new one, there is a button in the pause menu that links to a bug-report form.
(There are still a few issues for some people using a controller in certain menus. It seems to vary.)
How's the full game going?
It's going well! On the one hand, I still have so much left to do and release seems so far away. But on the other, everything's coming together relatively smoothly and I'm enjoying the process.
I can't say for sure if I'll reach my goal of a 2025 release, but I do think the bulk of the work is behind me, which is a good feeling!
Thanks to everyone who plays or wishlists, I'll see you in the next update!
